@CrusaderRabbit: Which image are you referring to? If you can provide a link to it I can take care of it.
@sickVisionz: Actually it's early. Kai is resuming in almost exactly a week.
@Vapovile: We know Tom's told the engineers so it could be a few hours or a few more days, it really depends on what's causing the slowdown. We'll just have to be patient and wait until the site becomes reliable again, hold onto your images for now.
Daryl and Beth seemed like they were about to kiss or something at some point. My heart fluttered, lol. Now she's been captured and while the show probably won't go there... society crumbled, anarchists running shit, law of the jungle... she's probably going to be beaten, raped, beaten more, raped more, killed and possibly eaten depending on how low supplies are.
It definitely seemed like the episode could go that way but I think that was intentional to show us that it wouldn't go that way, if that makes sense. They were alone, isolated, shared more with each other than ever before and got drunk together, but still didn't cross that line.
Now that she's been captured I could certainly see them going down the rape route and later Daryl finding her and murdering the shit out of the guys who did it. Not too sure about her getting eaten... though that would make a very dramatic episode.
Gas is pretty reliable. It's piped underground so falling treelines won't mess it up. In like every house I've lived in, the gas has never gone out. The power might go down in a storm or something, but the gas is always pumping. Up to a point, I think a lot of stuff should still be working in Walking Dead. A lot of systems like that are basically automated and could run themselves for the most part until they ran out of resources to feed off of.
Ah, that makes sense. I've always thought more things should still be working since lots of stuff is automated but whenever they find a new place the power is always out and I think the water too? Maybe I'm wrong about that though.
Best episode in a while. Onto Terminus!
Also, anyone else find it strange that the house still had working gas for the stove? Electricity is always out unless they use a generator so I just assumed gas would be out too.
@bigz007: Pretty sure it hasn't been confirmed, just heavily hinted at. There's a chance Silver is an older brother or something else, but he definitely looks the right age to be Gray's father.
...which would make Gray half-demon, I guess? That could be interesting. Though I remember a character saying Silver is in human form right now, so maybe conceiving a child in that form would make it human too.
Just pointing out, me and a couple of mates are waiting on accounts that aren't getting verification emails. I dunno if the problem was fixed before and it's broken again, but adbots or no, the site won't get new users if they can't sign up.
It was fixed before. I have a hunch that it may have been deactivated on purpose this time to avoid new users signing up on Screened. If those emails don't come through a few days after Screened is gone let me know and I'll pass a message along.
Is there any chance we can get a Vice Pit episode dedicated to Tom's thoughts on the situation, since he is closer to the company that runs AV than we are.
As far as Tom knows the company aren't planning anything for Anime Vice right now one way or the other. If they were going to close down AV around the same time as Screened, I'm sure he'd have been told something by now. I imagine they would have announced it at the same time, but they haven't, so I wouldn't worry about it for now. Like you said, anime and manga is a much more niche market and Anime Vice does pretty well for itself.
@takashichea: MAL totally has a wiki, it's just not as extensive as ours. They have pages for series, characters, and people, but I don't think they have anything else.
@bigz007: Clearly the site hasn't expired in any way, so I wouldn't worry. Plus, I just looked at their Screened page, and it says it was created in 1998 and expires in 2015... so I wouldn't put too much stock in their information.
@bigz007: BermanBraun announced that they've restructured the company and renamed it Whalerock Industries. On the same day, they announced Screened is shutting down, so it appears to be part of this restructuring. It's also probably no coincidence that the company recently bought a much bigger TV/movie site (http://www.moviefone.com/) and it probably makes sense to shut Screened down from a business standpoint.
Anime Vice may get shut down one day, just like any other website, but not right now. I spoke to Tom and he hasn't been told to announce anything about Anime Vice, so I wouldn't worry about it. All the evidence points to Screened being a victim of circumstance. That's just how the business world is sometimes unfortunately.
