Genres: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Plot: The show follows a studious unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle as her mentor Princess Celestia guides her to learn about friendship in the town of Ponyville. Twilight becomes close friends with five other ponies: Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. Each represents a different face of friendship, and Twilight discovers herself to be a key part of the magical artifacts, the "Elements of Harmony". The ponies share adventures and help out other residents of Ponyville, while working out the troublesome moments in their own friendships.
@bigz007: I think this is the first time I'm struggling to pick a favourite in a harem anime, that's a good thing though. I was all about Charlotte in season 1 but the competition really heated up this season. I really like Charlotte and Tatenashi, and Laura is always right behind them. Heck, even Cecilia almost won me over in this episode.
Ichika is still super annoying though. I know this is anime but nobody can be that oblivious, ugh.
@Supreme Marvel: I assume you're talking about Ueno and Oka in chapter 81. Yeah that was nice. I thought the part where he lifted her up was really cute.
I'm so happy I have somewhere to read this manga legally now! Chapter 82 was fun. Love the ending!
@Destinyheroknight: "Final Clash" could mean a lot of different things and I almost guarantee some users would use it incorrectly. It kind of sounds like "Final Battle" which isn't what it means in this case at all.
Plus, what about the times when a beam struggle isn't the finale to a fight? It could happen mid-fight, in which case it wouldn't be "final" at all.
These are the sorts of reasons why I usually use the established trope names from TV Tropes. They're more specific so confusion like this can be avoided.
Should we create a separate concept page for manga simulcast due to the recent Crunchyroll/Kodansha partnership plus Viz Media?
Yeah I was thinking we should probably have a simulpub page, go for it.
@Acura_Max: Take a look at the Beam-O-War link I posted, there are alternative tropes for physical struggles.
These seem fine.
Oh, I have one. What about The Final Clash - When to powerful characters clash with their most powerful attack.
I wouldn't go with that name. Beam-O-War would be better.
The rule is to use the names used in the official English version. Usually English versions switch the surname with the forename, but that's not always the case.
VIZ uses the name Monkey D. Luffy, so that's what we use, it's as simple as that :)
@Goku_The_Hero97: Battle threads belong on the battles board. Moved.
