I suppose I should get used to only posting once in a while. Work, studies, and hobbies just take so much time.
Anyhow, finally finished up Katanagatari. Cute anime, though rather philosophical. If you don't like feudal Japan's mysticism and ambiguity, don't watch it. If you do, DO watch it.
Besides that, only a few anime have caught my interest lately: Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, and Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. Finished both of them now, and I have to say I liked Ore no Imouto [...] best. It's adorable, pervy, deep, and shallow; all at the same time. The main characters have a love/hate relationship, but not romantic. Rather, it's walking a fine line and doing a great job at prodding a few subjects without crossing the line, and still it maintains its status quo as a Slice'o'Life anime. I can't really say much more than that without spoiling the story, so watch it! You'll do yourself a favor.
Kami Nomi [...] is a very amusing twist on the classic asocial otakon, and perhaps a peek into his mind - a peek that is frightening and enticing at the same time, but often degrades into simple humor. Mind, that's not a bad thing, really, but it does keep the anime from achieving the god-like epic feel that both the title and intro hint at.
Anyhow, that's it for the Cyraneth Report this time. Now I just hope it won't be as long again before my next post... Anyone got ideas for what I could/should/must watch next?
