Soon I will be trying my hand at making a cosplay costume for next years dragon con. Honestly there's only once piece that requires much crafting and it will be the gauntlet that i wear on my left arm. I know most outfits are made of rubber, silicone and paper machete, I'm going to go all out on my first attempt and craft a fully functional cold rolled steel scale mail/plate gauntlet for the costume. I will post pics as i make progress.
