This is one of my favorite anime series. I actually didn't have any problems with the ending. To be honest, the beginning is what took me some time to slog through. "This sucks," indeed, Renton. Anime Examiner: PERSONA 4 The Animation #1
Pfahaha. First there was a dogpile of P4-related user blogs (mine included), and now it's spreading to the front page. Chaos!Really, though, good read. I agree, the animation is quite solid. While I hope that there will be a few "new" subplots, or even just expanded ones, I'm already satisfied with how loyal this is to the original game.

Persona 4 Episode 1: Reaction and Thoughts
on the Persona 4 The Animation board.
According to FoxxFireArt's article from about a week ago, the series is going to run for 25 episodes. Even at the pace the first episode moved at, I'm not sure if they could even get to the bad ending in 13 episodes, let alone the good stuff.

I agree that Samurai Champloo has some fantastic fight scenes. Darker Than Black has a few really interesting fights, but they aren't really the focus of the show. Hm.Ah! If you're looking for really outrageous, nonsensical fights, give Sengoku Basara a try; since you like DBZ, you might enjoy it.
