Would Naruto's childhood and adolescent have been different, for better or worse (mostly better), if his father (and the people in the know), haven't concealed his true identity from the village residents?
Granted that some people might want to assassinate him due to his possession of the Kyubi. However, if people knew the truth about how the village was saved and what a great sacrifice he and his father have done for the village, he might be more accepted and treated with some love and care. Something to the credit of the adage, "It takes a whole village to raise a child."
