@Daveyo520: I think this is more of an American genre? The closest you get in Japan are detectives or something like Monster which is about a doctor who starts investigating on his own...o.o I think Mouryou no Hako has people investigating supernatural stuff, doesn't it?

General Discussion » What Funimation Show Should Tom Watch & Learn From Next?

Well, I only watched Gantz and CSR. While Gantz has a terrible ending at least the ride is enjoyable. Chrome Shelled Regios on the other hand is quite boring all over the series.

Just Anime » Best Anime OST's

Well I looke up and couldn't find a topic talking specifically about OST's (there was one, but it focused on the OP's and ED's) so I decided to create one.
Soundtracks are definitely one of the most important points in an anime. The atmosphere you want to create in a certain scene can be improved or worsened tenfold according to the song you decide to use at that moment. I've actually been driven to tears mostly due to an excellent soundtrack + scene blending than anything else. I'm not gonna lie, I've decided to watch some animes simply by having people tell me that the OST was fantastic and I'm starting this topic hoping to find out new animes with amazing Soundtracks!;D

The best OST's in an anime I've listened so far were (again, I'm not referring to the OP or ED here):

1 - Basilisk
2 - My-HiME
3 - The Melody Of Oblivion
4 - Ef
5 - Naruto

@sickVisionz: Yeah, there was a moment in Nana like this for me, too. I didn't like SaiKaNo much and I hated Shuffle!

General Discussion » Pandora Hearts - Is it worthy watching til the end?

Well, I've recently started watching Pandora Hearts (I'm on episode 10 now) and so far there's nothing that made me wanna watch this series til the end.

The story is okay, but there's nothing original to it. The character are a bit dull and I feel that it'll continue average til the end.
I have this personal "mission" of watching every anime til the end cuz I like writing reviews about it. But lately I've been coming across so many average and bad animes that I'm kinda losing my patience...XD

So, does it get better?

MEh, I didn't like it. It looks like another of those children directed remakes with crappy story. (yeah, just based on the pic...XD)

No, I'm not talking about anime preferences...XPPP

I wanna know what are the AV users addicted into.

I, for one, am addicted to coffee (can't spend a day without it :x) and listening to music (I sleep, bathe, eat, play games listening to music...XD)

General Discussion » Tearjerkers

Well, I've recently watched  Clannad After Story and I must say, it was by far the anime that made me cry the most. Even though it had one of the worst endings I've ever seen, it still had some really sad moments.

Despite being really rare for me to cry watching something this is something I often hope for when watching dramas.

That said, I decided to start a topic to get to know what animes, tv shows, even movies that made AV users shed some tears. It's a way of asking for recommendations and getting to know a bit more about what makes the other users cry...XP

Besides Clannad AF, I've also shed some tears watching  Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien,  Basilisk and ef - a tale of melodies
When it comes to movies, Memoirs of A Geisha, Pan's Labyrinth and (believe it or not), Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring (The Bridge of Khazad Dûm's scene) caused me to cry.

So, don't be shy, share your tearjerkers here!XP

Off-Topic » How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

@vantesla: Well, I've done some pretty crazy sh*t for love and in the end the only thing I got was a huge wound...XP Can't say it was worthy. If you're gonna sacrifice anything for a loved one make sure you're not the only one willing to sacrifice something...XP

General Discussion » What Anime would make a great movie

I think Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien would make for a perfect movie! The story is really simple to adapt. All it'd require would be good actors/actresses and a good director!XP
