Acer could hardly keep his overwhelming exitment contained, it raditated off him like a nuclear bomb had just went off inside his own beating heart. Every portion of his body gave off a bright blue aura, much brighter and more lively than the sky on a clear summers day. No doubt the young waterbender Pepper would be able to sense such emotions of energy as they bounced off all living things in site, and around this vast land of ice everything was alive with life, even if it did not move. He had sensed it as soon as he ha arrived, and he was sure his father had too all those years ago. Pepper breefly nodded at Acer and quickly turned without saying a word. Following the princess of the tribe, Acer took in his surroundings, remembering everything in in depth detail. His father had always trained him to remember the landscape of any area no matter how long he is there or the reasons why. All around stood large glaciers of glorious stature which surrounded a mystical stream, it's waters shone even in the presence of the dark. Acer suddenly felt calm in it's presence, like the stream itself was running through his own body.
"I think, that if you open yourself you will be a very good water bender. Truely, she smiled briefly at him before taking on her serious face again. "Many people try to master this element only thinking about how it can be used to wage war and hurt others, but it takes a humble and respectful person to waterbend. "
Acer listened to her words intently, she spoke softly but firmly. Her point was getting across without sounding demanding. The young shinobi was honoured that she had faith in him. When she smiled, so did he, in an instant. It was a reflex that his young mind did not understand. It was strange, her smile was more beautiful than the stream, more captivating than the stars, but these feelings were alien to the young ninja. Quickly he snapped back when she became serious, remembering he was here to train. Nodding Acer quickly realized that waterbending was an art not to hurt but to heal. He had been told by his father a little about the art, it was soft and free flowing. Like the sea it represented change, calm one moment and like a storm the next. He understoos, that he would need to treat the water like any comrade. Pepper than began to move her hands, guiding the water around his body. Acer smiled in amazement but also watched not only her movements but her calm expressions.
"I'm respecting everything around me. Your motions and spirit have to be humble, when you prove that you can work for nature it will then work for you. This is the hard part about waterbending.
"Humble yes I will be sensei" Acer bowed to his new master. He knew to well that the elements had know masters, and only care and respect would allow him to control them. Suddenly the stream of water stopped and splashed against the snow and ice that lay beneath their feet. Acer began to imagine the water in his own mind swirling and coming to life in his own mind. He pictured it mentally first, like a boxer picturing a shadow of his opponent before a fight.
"Ok!, she smiled brightly at him, 'Ive got it acer, Hold out your hand...just trust me" Softly, she placed her hand over his. "Now as you can see, im warm, im alive, blood runs through my veins. I have life in me." Confidently she looked in his eyes, within seconds her whole body changed into water. "Dont be surprised, now look down" her hand was still warm and still felt the same as when she was solid. "Water is life, its a life source" Turning back to her human form she took her hand away from his.
Holding out his hand Acer was a tad confused as to what Pepper was about to do. As she placed her hand over his own, those strange emotions from earlier began to rush through him. All he could think was how pretty she was, like a rose or a butterfly.......Suddenly a bowl of ramen came into his head. Shaking his head he didn't think any girl would like to be compared to a bowl of ramen, but of course he found that pretty to look at. Trying his best to concentrate Acer listened. Acer could feel her chakra running through her, and hen she turned he did not become shocked as he had seen many strange things in his life, but he could still feel her life force, just as he had felt from the stream earler.
Now , i asked my father a bit about you and im quite pleased to hear you are familiar with using one's Chi and also with the art of Tai Chi. This is great, because its soo important to waterbending, and teaching people those aspects can take years. Now comes to the not so fun part. Do as I do
Acer sat down and closed his eyes. Concentrating he began to tune in too his surrounding, feeling the flow of life. Quickly on command his eyes shot open as through pure instinct he took a hold of the water, his hands began to glide and flow moving the water with respect and dignity. Pepper began to smile and clap at her students quick progress showing supoort for Acer.
"your doing it, your sustaining water!" Breakfast will be served in exactly 3 hours. I expect you to keep that water going for the whole 3 hours, all you need to do relax, she laughed, Its probably easier said than done however.
"Um 3 hours" Acer's belly began to rumble, he didn't think he had the patience to wait that long, but he wanted to show respect to Pepper and do her proud. Standing up Acer began to move his arms and legs gently and with constant flow. His movenemnts were not something Pepper would have seen before, but it's style was best suited for waterbending. It was the gentle fist style of taijutsu. Acer had quickly deduced that controlling water was just as easy and controlling his on chakra. As the time ticked by Acer kept it up and even took on more water, he was honing his water bending, his chakra control and his body and mind all in one session. As the 3 hour mark ended Acer dropped the water and jumped in the air doing a fist pump
