Nintendo presented the third installment of Pokemon Ranger series (sequel to Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia) and as an entry to the lighthearted action-RPG genre it brings some interesting features to the table. The game brings players to the ominously named region of Oblivia, a series of disparately decorated islands that are absolutely teeming with creatures. As either a boy or girl ranger it's your job to protect the Pokemon from poachers known as The Nappers (no, not that kind of napping) and to achieve that end you can use not only your companion Pokemon, but also summon legendary beasts for a battle boost.
Here's where the game gets cool: summoning a creature requires players to draw a specific glyph, or "Ranger Sign," on their screens. For that and other reasons, your stylus and drawing hand will get quite the workout from this game, so limber up that wrist! There's multiplayer support for up to four-players on a local DS wireless connection for this game that should be hitting stores this Fall.
