@Acura_Max: Huh, interesting. I wasn't expecting packs of Legendary Treasures to be more than other packs, but I suppose it makes sense. The emphasis is on EX cards so there are more in this expansion than most. Maybe my EX draught will be over soon! I'll just have to save up twice as many tokens... I guess that's one way to make me play more. Usually I just play one or two online matches a day.

Ah so they finally applied the Catcher nerf to the game, looks like they changed the starting rules too. You now flip the coin before drawing any cards and I think the first person can't attack. All this stuff combined should change how people play quite a bit, should be interesting.

What would happen if they made a Pokemon TCG anime series?

@xlab3000: People would probably call it a Yu-Gi-Oh! rip-off. Interesting idea though, I'd never though of that before.

I doubt it, look at Cardfight! Vanguard. Btw I'm on the 2nd episode lol. It just came to my head and I searched it on google and some other people thought of it too.

@xlab3000: An Pokemon anime spin-off on the card game would feel quite weird though. Like Vanguard, I wouldn't think of that as a Yu-Gi-Oh spinoff. That also sounds weird to me.

How does Vanguard sound weird?

@xlab3000: I meant that about the "Yu-Gi-Oh Spinoff" comment. Not Vanguard in general. I totally enjoy playing it since using the Bermuda Triangle clan in January (and I have 7 or 8 decks with most of them from different clans).

@Acura_Max: Dude have you played online after applying the new update? Now that Catcher's been nerfed the whole game feels different and, frankly, fresh. Players are more willing to build up Pokémon on their bench (I'm predicting Mewtwo EX might make a big comeback) and take more risks. This might be the biggest change since EX cards were introduced. Everyone's tweaking their strategies.

I need to figure out what I should change in my deck. I might end up removing all four of my Catchers! Not long ago that would have sounded nuts!

Tomorrow, I'll have exactly enough coins to buy myself a Legendary Treasures pack. I hope I get some EX cards. Fingers crossed.

Today, I spotted a very pretty card.

So pretty!

@Acura_Max: Wow, they really went all out on that one. That would be a really cool card to own in real life.

My first Legendary Treasures Pack. No EX cards yet. However, I was lucky enough to get a Legendary Treasures Pack as my booster pack of the week today. So I will be able to get another pack tomorrow. I noticed that unlike the 95 token packs, the Legendary Treasures pack don't have the "5 card per pack" word on the front. I'm hoping that means that we get 10 cards per pack if we buy Legendary Treasures. If that's true, then I'm not given much incentive to buy the other packs since Legendary Treasures gives you a better chance of EX cards since has more ex cards for about 5 more tokens (2 Regular packs = 190, 1 Legendary Treasure Pack = 195). If Bulbapedia is correct, Legendary Treasures has about 12 EX cards as well as some really non-ex cards like Cobalion. Looking at Plsma Gale and Plasma Blast, they only have 4 EX cards on average. If all my assumptions are true, maybe the pokemon company is trying hand out more EX cards balance things out with more experienced players (?). Either that or somebody made a mistake. In that case, we better get as many EX cards as we can.

The Serperior that I got has a pokemon ability where if it has a grass energy, it will have no retreat cost.

@Acura_Max: You know, I think that's the first Magikarp card I've seen in the online game. Hurrah! I wonder what the Gyarados card is like...

I can confirm that Legendary Treasures packs have 10 cards! I managed to get enough tokens and bought a pack, and got an EX right off the bat! I think I'm going to like this set.

Awesome, I thought Legendary Treasures might be omitted from the daily bonus since it's kind of a super-booster pack, good to know that's not the case!

Yeah, I'm with you on that, at least for the time being. Unless I'm going after specific cards from other sets I think I'll be saving my tokens for Legendary Treasures boosters for the foreseeable future.

It's definitely not a mistake, these things are carefully thought out. This expansion is bringing a bunch of old (out of rotation) cards back and it's the last expansion in the Black & White run, that's why it's got so many cool cards in it. The hardcore players and collectors will no doubt already have multiple copies of the cards that are being reprinted in this set, so it probably has a lot less to offer them. It might work out harder to get the new EX cards from this expansion because of the reprints. You have to consider all the angles :)

The Serperior that I got has a pokemon ability where if it has a grass energy, it will have no retreat cost.

Nice, that sort of thing is always handy.

I just so happen to have a Gyarados in my collection.

I also have a second Magikarp. I'm swimming in magikarp!

I have to say that update came at the right time. I was starting to get tired of the game because it felt like I was making no progress with my deck.

Got my second Legendary Treasures pack today. Best cards were a Meloetta EX and a Samurott

@Acura_Max: I could see Samurott working well in a Blastoise deck. That Shell Armor ability plus an Eviolite would shield against 40 damage from attacks too.

Just got an EX in my weekly free pack, probably won't use this one. It's full art though so that's nice :D

Hey, now that you have a little more free time on your hands you might want to try this game out? You don't have to of course, I just thought I'd remind you in case you're interested. Me and Acura_Max are having a lot of fun with it :)

@Acura_Max: Legendary Treasures is quickly becoming my favourite expansion. Just got another pack with another EX.

I'm definitely trying Mew EX out, I've wanted one for a while. Seismitoad and Meloetta make a powerful combination in a deck with 4 of each. Emolga is useful for building your bench up, especially with my Flareon/Deoxys EX deck.

Lucky!

Lol. I just learned that the hard way. I recently lost to a guy who used that strategy not even 5 minutes ago. It's a good strategy.

I can confirm that this statement is 100% true. Also, since the Legendary Treasures pack is giving players the best cards of the previous expansions, now is the perfect time to jump in.

I'm not much of a card player, Daniel. I'll give it on try on Friday. Got to work on Korra.
