Ya I thought they would at least mention the episode which was never show in North America where a bunch of guns are pointed at kids. I don't think it's too crazy but I could imagine certain groups getting all over that or James comically inflatable breasts in one of the early ones.

Of all the cartoons on the list, the only one I could concievably call offensive would be South Park. It's controversial and offensive on every level and dimension possible. (Save for the Scientology episode. That one was completely justified.) Family Guy isn't exactly controversial, but it's not all that offensive, to be honest.
 
Now then, if you asked me which anime show is the most controversial, I'd say Neon Genesis Evangelion. I don't care what people say about the production values, or the characterization, but letting some bigoted egomaniac make a show about how we are all bad people for not allowing him to do his thing offends me on a very, very fundamental level. When Anno said that it was because of Gundam he made Eva, Tomino pretty much flipped his lid and called Eva tons of bad names. (my memory's fuzzy here)
 
And it's not about the religious symbology and crude psychoanalysis, either. I have made my peace with that "controversy".
 
@JJOR64:  Electric Soldier Porygon? Well, that episode gave children seizures. It's less of controversy and more of health hazard, unless the episode in question was used as a torture device.

Those Pokemen. Right there next to politics and religion.
