So if there’s a new Pokemon game coming out, it’d only figure that there’d be a new show to go with it, right? According to ANN, DIAMOND AND PEARL is ending this fall, but plans are already in place for a new show to, well, take its place. This new that will mostly reflect the BLACK and WHITE games that, likely by no coincidence, will also be dropping this fall. Details are, obviously, scarce at this point, but I figure you’ll find more than a few clues lying within the screenshots of the new game. Squint real hard and get your magnifying glass out - - there just might be something lurking there.
Rather than speculate about what this new show might entail, I think it’d be better to ask a simple question to those of you who’ve followed Pokemon for all the years. Forget what you’ll probably see in this toon… what do you WANT to see? Again, I’m kind of curious if a darker take on Ash Ketchum, Pikachu, and their pals, could actually fly. Something that got a little more mature to reflect the growing age of the core audience. Would that be a stroke of genius to inject new blood into this franchise, or would it be an unmitigated disaster?
