A big 10K light is shining on those silhouettes we showed you earlier this week. The three new starter Pokemon for BLACK & WHITE that had been previously been hidden, that had been blacked out, that had been blocked from view… are now revealed. To the right, you’ll see what I like to call photographic proof positive. A scan from that latest issue of Japan’s CoroCoro magazine ( courtesy of Pokebeach). From right to left, we have Mijumaru the sea otter, Pokabu the fire pig and Tsutaaja the ivy snake, representing water, fire and grass, respectively.
Are they better or worse than what you envisioned in your mind’s eye? Cuter or, dare I say, less cute?
This double spread provides a few more tidbits about the upcoming BLACK & WHITE game. It’s set in the faraway region of Isshu, in Hiun City at times and the trainers aren’t kids in this game. They look like teenagers, by my estimation. There are new attacks called “Claws Sharpen” which raises a player’s Attack & Accuracy and Trickery, which factors your opponent’s stats into your damage output. Also, Zoroark’s shape-shifting ability is called “Illusion” and you’ll get a chance to attack and/or capture a Level 25 version if you trade over your RULER OF ILLUSIONS: ZOROARK preorder tickets’ Entei, Suicune, or Raikou. The "monster fox" will be using "Illusion" a lot in the battle - - it’ll shapeshift into whatever Pocket Monsters you trade over.
Do you think this trio can stand against the nefarious Zoroark? Even if they don't, the rest of the scans are below...
