The only other manga-related nominations were Kakashi for best hair in comics, who lost to Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes (which I can only agree with), and the Warriors global manga for favorite fantasy graphic novel, who lost out to Jeff Smith's long-running Bone.
This was Nickelodeon Magazine's first-ever comics awards, but I don't think that there'll be a lot of room for manga in it aside from the manga category-- not if they're always going to run up against such classic long-running series as Calvin and Hobbes (which hasn't even had new content in years), Bone, Archie, etc. Still, it'll be interesting to see what a slightly younger demographic feels about manga.
