OMG get that picture of me off the front page.  I mean, yes it's an awesome picture, but it's not THAT AWESOME.

I usually buy anime stuff mostly at anime conventions since I see stuff that I usually don't see at the nearest anime store I go to.

Maria Holic is one of those shows that you can't take it seriously and just laugh at what is going on.  Shaft really likes to use meta humor.

Heroman works well because it has 90 influence.

I'm a bit angry at Ana for not liking Hidamari Sketch just because of one episode but there isn't much I can do about it.

Anyway looking forward to the live stream.

I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out! That is Style with a capital S.

AV is doing live streams now? I should probably stop with the typing and actually listen to it. Out!

Alright,...took you all long enough to count Jesus at the Last Supper.

I don't see Maria+Holic as persecuting a lesbian. Mariya is more tormenting her because he can. He berates her more for being a pervert then anything.

One thing that I have found about some of the fans of my artwork. The girl fan service images are very popular. Though, when I make some male fan service images. It's my male followers that get all uncomfortable and complain. Though my female audience is rather appreciative of those. I get a certain level of enjoyment making my male audience uncomfortable.

The movie based on the Hitman games was a good flick. Constantine was a horrid movie.

Nice Squadcast...I wish I could attend some of these big anime and comic conventions that take place (The nearest on to where I live is the big anime convention in San Jose, California. I look forward to Squadcast #50.

@FoxxFireArt: well, in the first ep, when they're discovering each others secrets, Maria says to Kanoko, "You're a lesbian.  You're a pervert."  and Kanoko facefaults in shame and horror.  So my interpretation was when Maria calls Kanoko a perv, she's referring to the simple fact that she's gay, Ie, equating gayness with perversion.  Nothing new, but kind of hard to hear over and over again in a series, especially when Kanoko seems totally incapable of defending herself.  That said, I know it's not like we're supposed to AGREE with Maria, and the viewers sympathies are clearly suppose to be with Kanoko, but it's still kind of rough going, especially in the first few eps.  I am determined to give it another try though, after my Wallflower/Mariaholic  epiphany

@metalsnakezero:  yeah, i may give H sketch another try, since I enjoyed the manga so much.  seriously though, the episodes (2!) I watched made Lucky Star look fast-paced and action-packed by comparison.  that's not a good sign.

@AHR:
I hear where you are coming from. Far too often homosexuality is automatically linked with perversion. As if having a different sexual interest then another person somehow then makes those actions "perverted".
That's why I liked that episode of South Park where the parents got upset when they saw Big Gay Al was leading their kid's scout troop. The parents thought the kids would be molested. So, they got Al kicked out and a drill sergeant type of guy in his place. He was a straight, married man; and the first thing he did was taking pictures of the boys naked. I never understood the mentality that "only gay people molest kids". Completely ignoring that the vast majority of molestation is more often boy/girl.

In Maria+Holic, I'm speaking from the perspective of having watched the whole series. We see more depth to both of these characters. We get a little bit more understanding of Mariya, and Kanako goes all kinds of places. If this wasn't a comedy and a parody series. This would be far more unsettling.

john's Heroman song sounds kind of like the Team America theme.
 "Heroman, Fuck Yeah!"

Hey I got a shout out on the squadcast!
I feel special! (It was really fun to meet you guys!) Oh and sorry if I was hogging you!

@AHR: I did actually talk about you because (and I don't remember if you heard this too) I was explaining John and Gia that you are the reason I am such an active member on AV... I also said how your voice was the thing that I found intresting... all the response from that was how Gia looked at John and says: "Oh Yeah! Ana has a nice voice"...

Actually on the cosplay topic... I have been uploading vids of my weekend this week and I have had two comments saying: "On X time that was me dressed as ____"
There were a group of girls and a guy who genderbended (Lady Deadpool, Wolverine Girl, Punisher Gal, Black Cat and a guy Domino)... Here's the link

Wonder Con Give-Away!
Wonder Con Give-Away!

I was excited of getting the Viz manga previews and then threw it away when I saw it was 2006...

Wonder Con's special give away was a sexy Iron Man 2 Black Widow (Scarlett Johanson) poster... which I got three of!

I agree with Ana all the Panels were LAME... all I got from them were: "We can't talk about that yet" and "We will have an announcement of that by SDCC"

Althought the little panels were a lot more intresting since they were more personal... I went to the Hero Initiative panel and even landed an interview

I missed the "speed dating" and I arrived late! but another guy who arrived late and I decided to work together! So it worked out!

I want to read Pluto!!!

Never heard of Wallflower... but after watching the first episode of Maria Hollic I was bored! So I probably won't like it!

I totally want to watch Heroman

Great squadcast guys!
Can't wait for next week when I get to bothe-- chat on the U Stream!
