The Phantom Books are books that appear in the franchise "Dantalian no Shoka". These books possess mystical powers that were not meant to exist in this world. In the right hands, Phantom books can act as normal books; however, in the wrong hands, it can unleash chaos.
Phantom Books are books with mystical powers, created from strong emotions such as fear and madness. They have been brought into this world, however, they were never meant to exist. The mystical powers that these books contain do not follow the rules that govern the world we live in. When these books are in the possession of a reader that is able to fully understand and comprehend it, the reader will attain great blessings. When placed in the wrong hands. The powers of the book will enter our world, and create uncontrollable chaos. In spite of its mystical powers, in the hands of those who don’t understand it’s merit, the Phantom Book will act as a normal book.
The Phantom Books’ powers increases and decreases with the waxing and waning of the moon. The books reach their maximum strength when the moon is full.
