Perona was the Ghost Princess of Thriller Bark. She only likes cute things. She ate the Horo-Horo Fruit. She can create ghosts that can explode to wipe away all positive feelings.
Perona is a supporting character in the One Piece series that was created by Eiichiro Oda. The series first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump on August 4, 1997. She would later appear in the Thriller Bark Arc that began in Volume 46.
Her first appearance was in One Piece Volume 46 CH. 449 "The Four Monsters of Thriller Bark", and her first anime appearance was in One Piece - Episode 338 "The Delight of Having Met People! The Gentleman Skeleton's True Colors". Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Kumiko Nishihara, and the U.S. dub produced by FUNimation has not announces a voice actress.
An early design sketch of Perona was revealed in One Piece Green Secret Pieces. The description explained that she was originally intended to be a silent, princess-like girl holding a bear. In the 4th Japanese Fan Poll, Perona is ranked as the 33rd most popular character in One Piece.
