Peace Maker Masters The Treacherous Art of Chibi Humor

It goes to show the execution is everything... even when it comes to super-deformed schtick and bi-polar mood swings.

Sounds interesting. I've never heard of it before but the two lead characters seem to have English voice actors that I like and recognize.

Also, this got real dark, real quick. When I read the title I wasn't expecting murder and chibi in the same show.

I never felt that FMA humor was that aggressive. Anyway the one thing that may be a problem with this show is that it's by Gonzo and they tend to not make good shows or keep the show going on the right track later on. I really can't say much about this show since I didn't get the chance to see it.

BTW let us know when the poll is up either on the front page of the site or on tweet because I kept missing them.

I've actually wondered about this series for some time. It almost makes me want to force you to watch Grenadier all the way through.

Alright, now you've got me intrigued.

As for FMA, I kind of liked the ridiculously severe changes in tone because you never expected it, rendering each occasion a whole lot funnier than it probably would've been.

Anything with Shinsengumi is usually good in my opinion. Peace Maker Kurogane however... another one of these series that I can't remember much about. I think I had a problem with the protagonist being, well, rather pathetic. He wanted to play with swords and get revenge, but never had the resolve to kill even to save his own life - that kind of "hero" goody two-shoes bullshit always bothers me especially when we're dealing with a period of time when life was worth next to nothing.

Also it's hard to not compare this with stuff like Samurai Deeper Kyo and Rurouni Kenshin, which are both much superior series despite having their own flaws (and I don't even mean the Kenshin OVAs, which are on Cowboy Bebop level quality in my list).

I watched the first 2 episodes along time ago. It didn't quite work for me. I enjoy chibi humor and action but the characters didn't settle with me enough to keep watching.

I really like this series
