I did understand everything of Paprika. And yet... I'm still autistic lol
 
But what I can't understand is how if the sauna is on isn't the steam condensing the camera lens?

 Satoshi Kun does really strange movies and shows that twist morals and form ideas of people's lives. I hope his last project (After his death) would be good.

Tokyo Godfathers is one of my favorite movies ever. It's just a lot of fun. I thought Perfect Blue dragged a bit but it's still a cool movie. You can't go wrong with Satoshi Kon, RIP.

Ah so this was the one that was taking more time than expected!  So how many times did you have to watch paprika to get it?  Recommend lain and texchnolyze for more things that are like this but not to freaky.  interesting philisophical anime is my favorite.  Of his stuff paprika is probably the best.

Man I loved Paprika as well as anything Satoshi Kon is involved with. Paranoia Agent in particular blew my mind by its climax! Nice to see his work getting reviewed, great job!

Paprika is next up on my "anime-to-watch-by-Satoshi-Kon" list. I'm more hype to watch it now after watching this review, maybe it's just the sauna xD.

This is a great idea, Animevice needs more things to help it stand out and more activity on the site so these sauna reviews or reviews from strange places is a good idea for that.

Paprika > inception nuff said ..... Parpika is based on a novel by a Japanes writer which I think he wrote it during late 70's early 80's so the Cell has nothing to do with Paprika :3 
 
@Tom you should watch Millenium Actrees by Satoshi Kon too ^^ it is quite unique and unusual for animenothing complicated or mind blowing , but a nice change of pace

I really liked Paprika as well. Also, since you liked this and Summer Wars, I'll also recommend The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - it's directed by the same guy who did Summer Wars, and based on a novel by the same guy who wrote Paprika.

Interesting review; I will certainly check it out. I always love those movies daring enough to explore the mind in all its non-linear glory.
I've been considering building a small house sauna for a while now, time to get on it.

If you liked Paprika then you should definitely check out the rest of Satoshi Kon's work.  I recommend Perfect Blue next, but even stuff that I didn't particularly like, like Millenium Actress, were very interesting to watch.

I thought Paprika was less contrived than Inception. Where Inception harped on trying to explain how the dream thing worked in such a short amount of time, Paprika just kinda lets the viewer figure it out through context.

Hey, you're finally #inthesauna! The only feature-length anime movie I've seen that had a theater release is Summer Wars but I've been wanting to check out others as well. Paprika certainly seems interesting.
