Manta and Ryu appear to help Yoh by throwing the bokkun. Now, Yoh armed with a bokkun can finally rip the talisman paper over Pailong's face. Once Pailong has awaken his true self and Jun ordering him, Pailong snaps at the name "Tao" and attacks Jun. Jun Tao is unable to control her servant, but Yoh rushes in to protect Jun from Pailong's nunchaku attacks. Anna will not assist Yoh because she has faith in him, but Anna asks Jun who can defeat Pailong. Jun answers Anna, it's Pailong's master and Manta confirms that it's a wise choice. When Anna uses her itako's power and beads to summon Shamon and integrate with Yoh, Yoh and Sha-wen finally defeat Pailong. After the battle, Pailong and Sha-wen talk about the past and Jun who is changed by Yoh prepares to leave. However, Pailong wants partner with Jun without talismans, so he can perfect Daodan Do technique. Meanwhile, Ren spys on Jun's battle with Yoh.

Anime and Manga Differences
- In the manga, Manta steals a bokken from Ryu as opposed to the anime, Manta steals a bokken from a gang while Ryu helps Manta. In the anime, Ryu observes the battle and becomes attached to shamans.
- For the manga, Manta is more injured than his anime counterpart after stealing a bokken.
