Ozma is a 2012 anime series created by famed creator Leiji Matsumoto.
Ozma tells the story of a young adventurer named Sam Coyne, a crew member of the Bardanos, who meets a mysterious young woman named Maya with a a connection with the shadowy government military known as Theseus who are trying to achieve immortality using clones known as Ideal Children.
Ozma is based off of an unpublished 1980s manga written by famed writer Leiji Matsumoto. The television anime series, which has a total of 6 and is the first television adaptation of a Matsumoto work in over five years, debuted during the Spring 2012 anime season. The chief director of the series is Ryosuke Takahashi with Takahiro Ikezoe serving as the director and Junki Takegami serving as the script writer. The series features animation production by Gonzo and LandQ Studios and was simulcasted on Crunchyroll as well as Viki during its initial run.
|Ozma features an original score by Kosuke Yamashita. The opening theme, Neverland, is performed by the Korean rock group Ftisland and is sung entirely in English. The closing theme, Utagoe, is sung by Japanese artist Minami Kizuki in her native language.|
