A group of citizens living under the control of the Siberian Railway attempt to go on an Exodus to the fabled land of Yapan.
Summary
Gainer Sanga, a high school student, lives a secluded life; outside of school, he spends most of his free time playing video games in his room. One day, however, Gainer is shocked to find out he is charged for conspiracy to "Exodus" (a term used to describe the breaking off a parts of the city to escape the Siberian Railway's — the reigning government — control). He is taken to jail where he meets Gain Bijou (AKA "Black Southern Cross"), an Exodus specialist. Later that night, Gain decides to escape and asks Gainer to go with him. While reluctant at first, Gainer decides to follow Gain to freedom. The two of them make it to an Overman (large robots capable of performing special feats known as "Overskills") museum. The two of them steal an Overman, which Gainer names "King Gainer", and make their way to the edge of the city. Gain then initiates his plan to free part of the city, beginning their Exodus to the mysterious, Eden-like land of Yapan.
