Otakon is the second-largest anime convention in North America, which takes place in Baltimore, MD.
History of Otakon
Otakon is one of the longest running, and second largest, Anime conventions. First held in 1994 and every year since in the late Summer, Otakon is located in the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland.
Attendance at Otakon
In 2008, over 26,000 visitors attended Otakon. While these numbers may pale in comparison to conventions like the San Diego Comic Con (125,000 in 2009)
In 2009, 26,586 visitors attended Otakon.
In 2010, 29,274 visitors attended Otakon
In 2011, Otakon had 31,348 paid attendees.
