Japanese Honorifics are best described as a sign of respect and endearment. Politeness is an important part of Japanese culture and language.

A character, often cold and harsh on the outside; but swirling with feelings inside. Much like an igloo, they keep an ice-cold wall, in an ice-cold world; just to protect the warmth inside.

Leader

The character is in higher rank. in hiearchy. Either he/she's an officer or simply marked as a leader of the group. He/she's the one making the important decisions ragarding the group or organisation he/she's leading.

Lecher

Characters who exercise their strong libidinous desires in unwholesome ways, such as peeping on the objects of their desire, making inappropriate comments, stealing underwear etc. Though typically middle-aged or elderly men with a penchant for young girls, there are probably a few dirty old women out there.

Legendary Parent

Many times in anime and manga, the protagonist of the series will not know who their parent is, or just think they're a regular person, only to later discover that they were a legendary figure or had incredible powers.

Maids & Butlers

Maids and Butlers are highly popular within anime and manga. They can simply be a job, or they can be a lifestyle for loyal servants to a master or mistress. Identified by a particular uniform. Also popular in cosplay.

Common visual conventions seen in manga and anime to convey emotions, often for comical effect.

A towel usually worn after bathing or showering to cover up. Sometimes used as censorship even during bathing.

The kind of character always gets into trouble by his or her bad luck, silliness, and/or cluelessness. A common source of comedy.

A woman who has given birth to or raised a child.

Multi-Sword Technique

Characters who use fighting styles that involve more than one sword. Sometimes these fighters will use more swords than they have arms for, fitting multiple swords into the same hand, holding them in their teeth, or grabbing them with their feet.

The act of taking another person's life.

A musician is a person who creates and/or plays music.

Bleeding from the nose, in manga/anime it mostly used as a sight gag that happens when a character is thinking or witnessing something perverted.

A Nurse is a regular hospital worker and Doctor's assistant. Assisting in the day to day care of patients, they can be male or female.

Someone being completely oblivious about people liking him/her.

A character with an arrogant, bossy attitude, often rich and with some princess-like heritage.

An Omake is extra content that is often added to the end of manga volumes and some anime episodes for comedic effect.

A Promise is a frequent theme in anime, manga, and real life.

Protagonist

The main character of a story or plot. Most forms of fiction have the protagonist as a hero but there are rare occasions with an evil or not-so-noble protagonist.

Psychopaths

People who have no conscious or concept or right and wrong (or do but choose wrong on purpose) and draw pleasure from the harming and even killing of others. They are usually portrayed as being completely heartless and beyond redemption of any kind.

Pwnage

Pwnage isn't just losing a fight. These are situations where one opponent significantly outclasses the other to the point of embarrassment.

Often when a character needs to grow stronger in battle, they find this strength through anger. A character being overwhelmed with rage can give them great power or even let them grow to a new level.

When someone returns an cruel favor to another after what has been done to them or an loved one.

Rivals are competitor to someone. Unlike an enemy, rivals could have similar goals but disagree on the process.

An electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own.
