I'm all for anime/real life collaborations, especially when they star some of my favorite characters, so when I spotted over at Natalie today that there was this cool Japanese event  launching on July 17th, I knew I had to spread the word. Apparently the New Transit Yurikamome trains will be "taken over" by Nami through the end of August as a promotion for the upcoming recent One Piece release on July 23rd (Vol. 1 being "East Blue" and Vol. 2. being "Sanji") . You can see the full list of stations included over at Natalie as well.
So yeah, it'd be cool to hear Nami's voice on the trains. But seriously, if someone walks around on them wearing that costume in the photo above, I am going to likely crawl under my seat. Why are real life anime costumes so frightening looking? Yeesh...

I've seen enough (*cough-cough*) "anime" to know that if anyone wore an outfit like Nami's on a commuter train, she'd get molested.
They should have just hired some cosplayer's for the publicity photo shoot.
So this is to promote a new DVD release of the series?
