Is One Piece Doing Breast Cancer Awareness?

I was looking at last week color page and notice it was pink (LOL!) and then I look at the month, and its October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).

So do you guys think this is on purpose?

Wouldn't be surprised. I mean, just because it's a manga/anime series, doesn't mean they can't advocate awareness for something like that. NAKED APE sometimes does stuff like that. As well I think it might have been The Tyrant Who Fell In Love which had a really strong reference to gay pride month in America (not surprising if it's a yaoi though).

I think it's great, btw, if creators of manga are doing that. <3

I thought the official icon of breast cancer was the pink ribbon? If the characters had that on or if it being breast cancer month was mentioned, it would have made it 100% undeniably about breast cancer . This could just be a printer error or the artist wanting to make stuff pink. The world would will never know.

Yeah, I don't think Oda put his color pages into the wash LOL! Pink also the official icon from breast cancer to (look what they did to the White House, Tokyo Tower and the Botanical Garden) and also Oda like to do little easter eggs like this (or I just looking way to into this)

I think, I'll ask my friend to send Oda a SBS question about this

@Destinyheroknight: Obviously, they must be looking out for two, four, six, (any even number) of the finer assets the franchise offers. I'd wear a ribbon to support their cause.
