Namco Bandai Games Announces One Piece Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake, a New One Piece RPG for the PSP

With the success of One Piece: Pirate Warriors on the PS3, Namco Bandai Games has announced that they will be developing the first ever One Piece RPG on the PSP. One Piece Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake will take place during the early days of the One Piece franchise, back when only Monkey D. Luffy sailed the seas of East Blue in the beginning of his quest to become the Pirate King. This will cover Luffy's first voyage and the events that revolve around the crooked Captain Morgan, the Marines under his control, and the infamous Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro. More information regarding this new game will be released in the September Issue of the V Jump Magazine. Link to full story below image:

Sounds interesting but it will never come to the US so I can't really muster up any excitement. There's a chance Persona 2 Eternal Punishment might not come and that is far more distressing. The PSP in the US has been dead for years :( At least I have Pirate Warriors to look to in the fall.

@rubberluffy: The chances are almost non-existant that this game (or any sequels if it is successful, for that matter) will come to the USA, but at least they are branching out the One Piece gaming universe to where they are willing to try a RPG-styled game based on the Romance Dawn Arc.

@ShadowKnight508:

Sure, it's a neat idea. I actually played the Naruto turn based rpg on the GBA and it was pretty fun. I'd love to play a OP one, maybe if this sells we'll get a PS3 or 360 one, which might have a better chance of a US release. At least we're getting Pirate Warriors, even if it's digital download only. I wish we had gotten the two Unlimited Cruise games for the Wii, we only got Adventure. Those games are tedious fetch quests but I still played the EU releases and really liked them.
