I've been wanting to catch up on this series but I had a fear that it would eventually goto a place that I didn't care for.  It's six episodes deep and assuming it's a 13 episode show, it's probably gone there if it's going to.  my question:

How much of the show is about people needing Matrix-esque extractions and Terminator future soldiers dropping from the sky (what I don't want) and how much is high school exorcisms, drama and ghost hunting (what I do want)?

The time traveling and an element in the recent episodes involving Maya's occult-obsessed glasses friend would qualify as sci-fi.

I know it qualifies as sci-fi but how of that is the primary focus of the episodes?  Would you say the average episode is like 50%+ sci-fi stuff like that or is it mostly the other things?
