"Tobi" is Obito Uchiha ,Kakashi's teammate and the one who gave him his Sharingan eye. He is working for Madara Uchiha and is the current leader of Akatsuki, he is the one who unleashed the nine tails on Konoha and cause of many other horrible deeds in the series.
On the day that he was to become a student at the Academy, Obito arrived late to the opening ceremony. Believing that he had arrived too late he is relieved when Rin hands him his orientation-documents. When Obito eventually graduated at the age of 9, he was placed in a team with Rin and Kakashi under the leadership of Minato Namikaze. The team later took part in the Chūnin Exams, where Obito arrived late for the second round in the Forest of Death having stopped to help an elderly woman with her baggage, leaving his team-mates waiting at the gate.
While in the forest, they were confronted by a team consisting of Might Guy, Genma Shiranui and Ebisu. Obito, wanting to impress Rin, immediately attacked the group, but as he seemingly prepared to use a Fire Release technique, he choked on the sweet the elderly woman had given him and was knocked out by Guy. In the gap between the second and third rounds of the examination, Obito trained arduously to hone his skills and expressed his pride in his clan as well as his dream to become Hokage as their sensei had in his conversations with Rin. He was, however, eliminated in the third round when he fought Might Guy; Kakashi, by defeating Guy in turn, was able to advance to the rank of chūnin. Some years later Obito would also achieve the rank, but this was overshadowed by Kakashi becoming a jōnin and the subsequent surprise celebration Rin was planning for him.
Team Minato had been given a mission to destroy the to stop enemies from entering Konoha. This would aid greatly in the Third Great Shinobi War effort. This was the same day that Kakashi was given the rank of Jonin and each member of the team had all brought him a gift, first minato gave him a special kunai and then Rin gave him a medical pack especially made for him. Kakashi placed his hand out to Obito who looked shocked and told Kakashi that he had got him nothing. Obito was jealous of Kakashi success in the ninja world and never really understood the young ninja. Kakashi replied that it was for the best as Obito would probably have got him something useless anyway. As they left it was noted that Kakashi was now in charge of the mission and when they where faced with a group of ninja Kakashi lead the charge. Then team soon encountered a lone scout. Kakashi attempted his new attack, Chidori, even against Minato's orders. Meanwhile Obito was paralyzed with fear and began to cry in battle. Minato was able to finish the battle, disappointed at both students.
That night as they camped Obito spoke to Minato and asked why Kakashi was the way he is. Minato went on to tell the story of how Kakashi's father, Sakumo Hatake, had deiced to save his comrades and not complete his mission that lead to the death of many Konoha ninja’s. The village blamed him for those losses and he eventually blamed himself as well. Very few thought that he was in fact a hero for going back to save his friends. Later Sakumo took his own life and ever since then Kakashi has followed the rules to the letter. Obito now had a better understanding of Kakashi and the next day he began to follow Kakashi orders without much hassle. they were at the point of the mission when Minato would have to separate from the rest of the team. But disaster struck when Rin was taken by two Iwgakure Jonin. Obito wanted to rescue his teammate while Kakashi said that the mission came first. Kakashi ironically found himself in the same situation as his father had been in the past and did not want to make the mistakes that his father had. Obito disagreed and left Kakashi not before telling him that what his father did in the past made him a hero not a disgrace. Obito was confronted by Taiseki, one of the Iwgakure ninja. He was soon over powered, just then a flash of silver filled the air and using his father’s sword Kakashi entered the battle just in time to save Obito. As the battle raged on Taiseki managed to strike at Kakashi left eye because Kakashi had used his own body to block an attack meant for Obito.
Terror took over as he watched the blood escape his friends eye and wanting to fight back past the fear his Sharingan awakened, using his newly activated Sharingan Obito and Kakashi defeated Taiseki. They headed into the cave where Rin was. It was here that Kakashi's life would change forever. Obito and Kakashi fought against the last ninja to save Rin. As the battle progressed, Obito and Kakashi worked as an unbeatable team and freed Rin but the victory was short lived as the final ninja caused a cave in. Obito dived in time to save Kakashi from a falling rock which landed on him instead. As Obito lay dying he gave Kakashi a final gift for becoming a Jonin: his left eye. Rin, using her medical techniques, implanted the eye into Kakashi. Using his new gift Kakashi used the Chidori to break free of the cave in and killed the Ninja who had caused Obito's death. Just then enemy reinforcements arrived and Kakashi fought to protect Rin, telling her that he would not let her die because Obito loved her. Just as the battle was about to be won by the enemy, Minato Namikaze appeared and saved the two students and finished the mission with their help. After that Obito's name was carved in a memorial of all those Hidden Leaf ninja who died in action. Kakashi regularly visits the area to pay his respects.
Obito's actions over the following years are largely unknown. Having been salvaged by Madara Uchiha, he would eventually cast aside his given name and took up the alias of Tobi. Working with Madara, the two would begin the Eye of the Moon Plan. At some point following Madara's death, Tobi adopted the legend's identity, and with it his animosity towards Konoha and its Senju Clan, a special interest in the Nine-Tails and other tailed beasts. The motivation for Tobi's agenda is due to Kakashi's failure to keep his promise of keeping Rin safe, which led Obito to believe the reality that she is no longer part of is worthless, and should be destroyed. Tobi took Madara's identity, which the Kage believed was done to take advantage of the power and fear associated with the name. Because of the many infamous acts Madara carried out during his lifetime (such as acquiring an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan), few are surprised that Madara could still be alive after such a long time. They take the crimes that Tobi commits under Madara's name as further confirmation that he is really Madara, as only Madara would be capable of such deeds.
Coming to, mistaking Madara for the angel of death before realising he is still alive, Obito learns from his saviour that most of his body has been grafted with parts from Hashirama's living clone. Madara added that Obito owes him his life and will repay it in due time. But as Obito wanted to return to Konoha to aid his friends, Madara explained that he could not leave as his body needs to fully recuperate and used to its new parts. Madara preached to Obito the harsh nature of the reality they live in while formally introducing himself, Obito refused to listen, desperate to return to his village. However, due to his physical condition despite his determination to return to his friends, Obito is left with no choice but to remain with Madara. Left with White Zetsu and a spiral-patterned clone while Madara rested, Obito contemplated how long he had been in the cave as he eventually befriends the two artificial beings while undergoing strenuous rehabilitation in order to finally use his limbs.
One day, during the course of his rehabilitation, White Zetsu alerts Obito to the fact that aboveground, Kakashi and Rin were being surrounded by Kirigakure shinobi. Obito attempts to break a wall to get out to help them, but only succeeds in destroying his right arm and barely cracking the wall. Seeing Obito's desire to save his friends, the spiral-patterned Zetsu attached itself to Obito to enable him to go to the surface. A grateful Obito thanked the clone as he prepared to leave. Attaching himself to the living clone to access the power of the statue, the pair is able to break the boulder blocking one of the passage ways. Attempting to thank Madara for what he had done for him, not intent on returning, Madara brushes it off, noting that the young man would be back. As they mobilise, Obito receives intel about what was happening on the battlefield and Minato's absence.
Rushing to where they are Obito refuses Spiral Zetsu's offer to fight in his stead noting that Kakashi had his other Sharingan and that their combination would be better. While nearing where his friends were, Obito has flashes of Rin which originate from his left eye socket. Brushing these off as phantom images, he presses on to the location identified by the clone only to see Kakashi's hand run through Rin's chest. After witnessing Rin's death Obito developed his fully mature and Mangekyō Sharingan at precisely the same time as Kakashi. Shortly afterwards Kakashi fell into unconsciousness as Obito emerged from the shadows and singlehandedly slaughtered the entire Kirikagure Shinobi Squad, saving Kakashi's life. Standing amidst the carnage, Obito looked at Rin's corpse and claimed that he was in hell.
Returning to Madara soon after, the events of Rin's death have traumatised Obito and shattered his resolve. Obito ultimately came to the conclusion that Madara's ideals are an absolute with the notion that a reality without Rin is one that is worthless and should be destroyed. With this Obito joins forces with Madara to aid him in his Eye of the Moon Plan, in order to create a dream world in which Rin is still alive. Madara graciously accepts Obito's offer and passes on his knowledge of Infinite Tsukuyomi and elects to train Obito in various jutsu in order to control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. To aid him, Madara implanted a portion of his will into Zetsu which led to the cultimation of "Black Zetsu" before passing away, awaiting the day Nagato would revive him. Obito shortly cast aside his given name to take Madara's after confronting Nagato along with Zetsu. At some point following Madara's death, Obito also adopted the name "Tobi".
Tsunade cited that Tobi may have adopted this name in order to take advantage of the power and terror associated with the name alone. Tobi also possesses knowledge of things that only the real Madara would know, such as Nagato's existence and abilities. Furthermore, Tobi has claimed that he encouraged Yahiko to form the Akatsuki and that he "gave" the Rinnegan to Nagato.
Until the events of Part II, Tobi operated in secret, only using Madara's name during his private meetings with Pain, the figurehead that lead the terrorist organisation Akatsuki. Although Nagato believes that Tobi really is Madara, the actual Madara also has some knowledge of Nagato's existence and abilities. Likewise, Tobi has claimed that he encouraged Yahiko to form the Akatsuki and that he "gave" the Rinnegan to Nagato. Both events occurred before Obito's supposed death, further complicating the truth of Obito's history. As Pain had leadership of Akatsuki, Tobi eventually joined the ranks as a subordinate of Zetsu, to oversee the operations of the organisation and directly influence future events. Tobi also obtained a sample of Hashirama Senju's DNA which he uses to create a living clone of the First Hokage and presumably White Zetsu.
Twelve years before the start of the series, Tobi discovered that Kushina Uzumaki, the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki, would be giving birth, causing the seal keeping the Kurama contained within her to weaken. Intending to use the Nine-Tails, Tobi tracked her down and took the newborn Naruto Uzumaki hostage to keep Minato from interfering.
Once he extracted the beast, Tobi placed the Tailed Beast under his control and ordered it to destroy Konoha. Using his space–time technique to keep Minato from going to the village's defence, Tobi engaged Minato before being hit by a Rasengan and branded with Minato's Flying Thunder God Technique. He then used a Contract Seal on Tobi to remove the Nine-Tails from his control. Wounded and deprived of his best weapon, Tobi fled, stating that the Nine-Tails would be his again someday and that he still had other plans.
Obito Uchiha is the primary antagonist of the Naruto series that was created by Masashi Kishimoto. It first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in November 1999. Obito has gone by several names through his role in Naruto.Originally a flashback character in a side story but he is actually the one who caused the Nine-tails attack, assisted Itachi in the Uchiha clan massacre, Controled the Mizukage, and the leader of Akatsuki.
His first manga appearance is in Naruto Volume 27, CH. 239 "Side Story 1: Mission Start…!! ", and his first anime appearance is in Naruto Shipppuden - Episode 32 "Return of the Kazekage", this anime appearance was under the Tobi pseudo name. His Tobi role in the Japanese series is voiced by Wataru Takagi, the role of Madara is voiced by Naoya Uchida, and young Obito if voiced by Sōsuke Komori. The U.S. dub produced by VIZ Media casted Michael Yurchak for Tobi, and Neil Kaplan for Madara, and Vic Mignogna for young Obito.
When Tobi made his first appearance in the series, he took a disguise of comic relief. When he was known as Goofy Tobi, he never seemed serious because as Tobi he would joke around all the time. When Tobi decided not to disguise anymore, he became far more serious. He would still joke around but not goofy and when he was Serious Tobi since Goofy Tobi's joke made him look like he was not serious threat.
Tobi first appeared directly after Sasori's death, where he was found by Zetsu flipping Sasori's ring like a coin asking if he could join now. Being Zetsu's subordinate, the two sides of Zetsu's personalities argued with each other but Tobi was ultimately allowed to join Akatsuki when one side of Zetsu said "we can let him in, Tobi is a good boy."He then accompanied Zetsu in the hunt for Deidara's ring, though both were surprised to find Deidara alive. Tobi and Deidara began speaking to eachother, but the conversation ended after Tobi made one joke too many and Deidara began to strangle Tobi with his legs, due to him being armless.
he appears with the remaining akatsuki members sealing the two tails
Tobi would become Deidara's new partner, whom Tobi referred to as "senpai" (Japanese: a senior at work or school, a superior, an elder). The two set out to capture the Three-Tailed demon. At the battle, Tobi ran away from the beast as it started chasing him, giving Deidara the opportunity to send one of his explosives at the great beast. Although the fight went unseen, Tobi was proud of himself for beating the Three-Tailed demon with his Jutsu and was seeking Deidara's approval. Deidara tried to explain to Tobi that it was a combind affort, but would later excuse their easy victory over the beast claiming that it was too stupid to use it's own power. When Tobi remained silent, Deidara thought he was taking what he said too seriously, until a snore escaped Tobi's mouth... Deidara proceeded to awake Tobi with a bomb to the face.
Tobi and Deidara then set out to hunt down either Sasuke or Naruto, and Deidara found Sasuke first. Tobi distracted Sasuke while Deidara tried to blow Sasuke up, this failed first Sasuke attacked but Deidara jumped out of the way and Tobi was sliced in half across the midsection, but Tobi simply rose back up without a mark anywhere on his person and tried to convince Deidara that he shouldn't fight Sasuke, advice which Deidara ignored. During the battle Tobi would try to assist Deidara, placing Deidara's bombs in specific areas and even tried to trick Sasuke. Although whenever it appeared that Deidara had been killed, Tobi would begin mourning, only for Deidara to reappear and tell him to shut up. Deidara, after getting increasingly frustrated with Sasuke, told Tobi to run, and Tobi, knowing the attack Deidara was about to use, fled. He later explained that the attack sent microscopic bombs into the Air, and would destroy whatever inhaled them from the inside.
After Deidara used his final jutsu and self-destructed, Tobi was announced dead even though Zetsu couldn't find his body. Pein stated that Deidara was special but Tobi was easily replaceable, Kisame however said he'd miss Tobi since he made Akatsuki not so gloomy. Pein and Konan would later be seen meeting with a mysterious individual giving them orders, this shadowed figure would be revealed as Tobi and he had a Sharingan visible from the eye hole in his mask. He'd later been seen sitting on top of the statue of Madara Uchiha outside of Konoha, wondering if Sasuke would remain a snake or shed his scales and become a hawk.
Recently Tobi has wandered into the Konoha eight-man team (Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Sai, Yamato, Kakashi, Kiba w/ Akamaru, and Shino). Naruto attacked Tobi knowing he's from Akatuski with his Rasengan. At first it seemed like Naruto made the hit, but in the end Naruto and the Rasengan faded through Tobi like he was a ghost. Kakashi commented that Tobi is just playing with them. Naruto attacked Tobi once more but with a frontal attack, Tobi kicked Naruto in the stomach only to find out it was a clone, then he hit the real Naruto in the face, sending Naruto zooming into a lake behind Naruto's teammates. Calling the ninjas "Leaf Peoples." Tobi ran around avoiding all of the team's attacks, irritating and baffling them. Shino used his Destruction Bugs for a wide-area assault, wanting to figure exactly how Tobi was escaping their attacks. Tobi tried to avoid the bugs but they swarmed around him and started feasting on his chakra. Yamato used his Mokuton to attack, but Tobi disappeared. The team started to think that he can make himself "cease to exist." Kakashi speculated that however Tobi's doing it, that his time/space skills are greater than even Minato's. Tobi would then appear behind them, wanting their attention. Kiba tried to attack using his Fang Over Fang technique, but Tobi hopped to the side. Kiba believed that he went through him again, but the others told him that he missed. Zetsu then appeared beside Tobi and told him that Sasuke killed Itachi, stunning the Leaf ninjas. Tobi said "Whoa! Didn't see that comming! ...NOT! Just as I predicted." Zetsu also told Tobi that Sasuke might be dying so they started to head towards Sasuke. As Tobi was leaving, Kakashi got a glimpse of Tobi's Sharingan. Tobi showed up where Sasuke and Itachi were before Zetsu, and commented that Zetsu was too slow, of which Zetsu angrily responded that he can't move as fast as Tobi can. Tobi then asked if he recorded everything and Zetsu said yes. Tobi then says that they have to hurry and get Itachi's corpse and Sasuke out of there.
Sasuke then awakens in a darkened bedroom. Tobi first speaks and informs Sasuke that he won, but shouldn't be so careless about his life. He then stepped out of the shadows and tells him that that they met before, but he isn't his enemy. Tobi then starts to take off his mask, stating that he's also a surviving Uchiha. At this point, Sasuke's eye turns into the Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan and Amaterasu starts to engulf Tobi, he falls. T obi makes a joke saying that it could be called a fail-safe, but Itachi only got as far as "fail." He then tells Sasuke that he was the one that helped Itachi destroy the Uchiha clan, and called himself Madara Uchiha and said that he's going to tell Sasuke about Itachi.
Madara said that the only people that knew the truth about Itachi were the third Hokage , Danzo, and the elders Homura and Koharu. There's no way they'd ever speak about it, and the truth about Itachi would fade away just as he planned. But what Itachi didn't know is that he knew too, but Itachi didn't trust him and tried to keep his mouth shut with Amaterasu. Sasuke started having a panic attack and Madara tried to hold his head up and told him to breathe, but Sasuke swatted his hand away and blacked out. When Sasuke woke up, he found that he was tied up. Madara apologized and said that he had to, and told him that Itachi was ordered to kill the Uchiha clan by Konoha. Madara said that there was a big problem since Konoha was formed at that to realize what happened he'd have to tell the story from the beginning, roughly 80 years ago. Madara explained that life was a battlefield back then and his battles led to conflict with the Senju clan and he eventually faced their leader, Hashirama Senju, a man Madara admired most.
He had a younger brother, Izuna, whom was Madara's equal in every way and they constantly competed to prove which was better. It was through their competitions that they gained the Sharingan, and later awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan; the first ones in the history of the clan to do so. They used their power to take control and unite the clan, with the elder brother, Madara, becoming the leader.
As Madara was the first to discover the Mangekyou Sharingan, he was also the first to discover it's downside and went blind. He became depressed and desperate, using many different techniques trying to regain his vision but nothing worked. Izuna agreed to give him his eyes so that Madara could take care of the clan, and Madara asked for forgiveness when he took his brother's eyes to replace his own. By doing this he attained a new Mangekyou Sharingan, a fusion of the two brothers' that would never lose sight, and he gained a new Mangekyou Sharingan technique.
Izuna would die in battle some time later.
Hashirama was respected and feared as the most powerful, and only the Uchiha clan were powerful enough to compete against the Senju, so when ever one side hired the Senju the other hired the Uchiha. Madara himself became infamous due to their battles, and that's when Sasuke interjected, asking if he took his brother's eyes for fame, but Madara upsettingly declined saying that he did it to protect his clan. The more revered they became, the more sought to conquer them and his brother offered his eyes to him. But shortly after, the Senju clan asked for a truce with the Uchiha. Madara was skeptical though, after so much hate and bloodshed he didn't believe their declaration of peace was sincere and that they'd wipe out the Uchiha one day, but his clan wanted it and so he reluctantly agreed. Soon after they made a deal with the Land of Fire and the system of one country and one ninja village was created and quickly adapted by the other countries, as a result the world became rather peaceful.
Master of the Nine-Tails
But a new problem arose, the position of Hokage. The Land of Fire and the village all chose Hashirama. Madara was worried about the status of the Uchiha clan with their once greatest enemies in control so he decided to oppose Hashirama for the position, but even the Uchiha clan turned their backs on Madara. He decided to leave the village, but returned with the Kyuubi wanting revenge and fought Hashirama... and was defeated and thought dead. Hashirama's younger brother wanted to make sure the Uchiha didn't follow in Madara's footsteps so he gave them the position of the police force as a sign of trust, but it's true purpose was to separate the Uchihas and keep them under watch. Some of the Uchihas realized what was going on and knew Madara was right, but the Senju clan retained supremacy over the Uchiha.
Then 16 years ago, the Kyuubi attacked the village. Since the Mangekyou Sharingan is able to control the Kyuubi, Konoha's leaders immediately suspected the Uchiha clan and they were forced to live in a corner of Konoha and were closely watched by Anbu. The Third Hokage opposed this, but his voice went unheard. They were segregated and discriminated against.
Sasuke's father planned to take over the village and used Itachi as a spy in the ANBU, but Itachi was a double agent and was feeding information about the Uchiha to Konoha too. Itachi experienced the 3rd ninja war when he was four years old and it made him want to avoid conflict, that's why he sided with Konoha. If the Uchiha did attack the village would be in a state of flux and weakness and other villages would surely had attacked, which likely would had started a 4th ninja war. Itachi was given the task of slaughtering his own clan to avoid finger pointing, Madara expressed that at the time he was still bitter and wanted war so he could get revenge on both the Senju and Uchiha, Itachi however knew that Madara was alive and sought him out to make him a deal; he would give Madara his chance for vengeance against the Uchiha if he promised not to harm the village. Sarutobi continued to try negotiating, but they led nowhere and Itachi and Madara fulfilled the task. But Itachi couldn't kill Sasuke, he threatened Danzo not to harm him and begged Sarutobi to protect Sasuke and promise not to tell him the truth.
Sasuke stopped Madara at that point, insisting that he almost died fighting Itachi multiple times. Madara responded that Itachi had to force Sasuke into a corner in order to purge him of the Curse Seal and Orochimaru along with it, and hoped that Sasuke would gain the Mangekyou Sharingan from killing him. Sasuke refused to believe Madara, saying he was lying and accusing him of summoning the Kyuubi and getting the Uchiha blamed. Madara dismissed that however, saying that Itachi lied to Sasuke so he wouldn't trust him, even gave Sasuke the Amaterasu to try and keep him away. Itachi joined Akatsuki to keep an eye on them and returned to the Leaf village after the Third Hokage's death as a warning to Danzo and the elders. Itachi wanted Sasuke to kill him, avenge the Uchiha clan and return to the Leaf village as a hero... Madara then let Sasuke go.
After Utakata was captured Tobi and the remaining akatsuki sealed the six-tails.
Madara was then sitting on some rocks next to the sea shore with Sasuke . Sasuke awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan and proclaimed that Team hebi will now be called Team Taka, and that they are going to destroy Konoha. Madara asked him if he wanted Itachi's eyes, but Sasuke declined; he said he is going to see things differently than Itachi. Madara goes to see Kisame, whom is confused since he believed Tobi died. Madara apologizes for keeping Kisame out of the loop since they're so close and shows him his face. Kisame perks up and says that he feels more comfortable now since he's working with the Mizukage, leader of the Mist village.
Madara and Kisame then meet with Taka and Madara asks Sasuke what he's planning on doing. Sasuke states that they're going to take out the Leaf village's elders, no one else. Kisame says that others will get involved, and that Taka isn't powerful enough. Suigetsu gets frustrated and says that he wasn't serious in their play fight and attacks Kisame, but Madara blocks Suigetsu's sword with his arm. Karin get upset and Suigetsu proclaims that the only reason he joined Sasuke was to get Kisame. Madara then says that Akatsuki lost too many members and is no longer powerful enough either and that the two teams will have to work together. Sasuke is doubtful but Madara said he'll give him one of the Bijuu, he goes on to explain that Bijuus are chakra monsters and that Hashirama actually had several under his control, he then divided them amongst the other villages as a sign of trust and to keep a balance of power. Madara proclaims that it isn't a bad deal, and Sasuke says he's generous... but Madara replied that if Sasuke betrays Akatsuki that he's a dead man. Kisame says that Akatsuki has 7, and Madara says that Akatsuki will capture the Nine-Tails and that Taka can take the Eight-Tails. After the meeting is over, Madara meets with Zetsu. Madara says that since Itachi died that he doesn't have to keep their agreement anymore. Zetsu says that Madara waited a long time, but he didn't believe that so many of Akatsuki's members would die to get them where they are. Madara then praised the fallen Akatsuki and is happy that he won Sasuke over.
Madara is later shown sitting near Konan and Pein. Madara asks why Pein hasn't gone after the Kyuubi yet, Pein said that he had an unexpected guest. Madara then mocks Pein, saying that Jiraiya must had been very powerful if the "invincible" Pein had trouble with him. Pein got angered by this and said that Jiraiya was dispatched and that he can go after the Kyuubi whenever he wants. Madara then starts to leave and informs Pein that he has to hurry since Konoha will be ready for him if he waits too long, then informs them that he sent Sasuke after the Eight-Tails. Konan was skeptical if Sasuke could succeed, but Madara promised he would.
After Team Taka brought back the Eight-Tails, Madara along with Kisame and Zetsu start to seal it while Pein and Konan are gone retrieving the Nine-Tails, however it was just a Substitution. Madara later intercepted Team Taka whom were off to make their offensive against Konoha. Team Taka said they were parting with Akatsuki, but Madara told Sasuke that he warned Sasuke that he'd kill him ig he betrayed Akatsuki, adding on that the Eight-Tails was a fake. Madara told them that he'll let their failure to capture the Eight-Tails slide and he wants them to do something else before they can leave Akatsuki. Sasuke tried to attack Madara, but failed. Madara told him that there was no point in destroying Konoha since Pein already did it, and told them that the 5 Kages were going to have a meeting... one of them being Danzo, who wanted the Uchiha wiped out. He then had Zetsu lead Team Taka to the Kage meeting; Zetsu split in two and the light half lead them while the dark half remained with Madara. They begin to talk, Madara reveals that Pein was supposed to resurrect him, and that he plans to eventually link Sasuke up with the Heretical Demon Statue, and that he's going to speed up his "Moon's Eye Plan."
While Sasuke and his team's at the Kage meeting, Madara tells the light Zetsu to inform the Kages that Sasuke's there. After this, Madara goes to visit Naruto whom is taking a nap, and says that he just wants to talk. Naruto tries to attack, but fails, however Kakashi and Yamato quickly show up to seperate Madara from Naruto. Kakashi reveals that he knows Tobi is actually Madara. Madara first asks Naruto how he managed to get Nagato to betray him, but Naruto demands to know what Madara's going to do with Sasuke. Madara starts to tell them about Sasuke and tells them all about Itachi. They think he's lying, but he insists that he isn't. He then tells them something he didn't tell Sasuke, he tells them about the birth of the Uchiha and the Senju. Rikudou, the forefather of all ninjas and the first person to possess the Rinnegan, tried to use his teachings to unite the world and bring peace. However he laid on his deathbed before he could achieve his dream. But he had two sons, one inherited his eyes and spiritual power, the other inherited his body and physical power. The two brothers had different ideals on how to bring peace to the world, the oldest thinking that it requires power and the younger thinking it requires love. Rikudou decided that it was the younger brother that should be Rikudou's successor. The older brother however was jealous, believing the younger brother stole his birthright and they clashed against each other; their descendants too would continue this fueding... the descendants of the older brother are the Uchiha, and the descendants of the younger brother are the Senju. He says that Naruto really reminds him of Hashirama, the man he admired and hated, and further explains that the Uchiha are cursed with hatred and that's what drives Sasuke.
Madara then appears at the Kage meeting and saves Sasuke from certain death and teleports both him and Karin away. He then decides to talk with the Kages. He tells them about how Rikudou fought the Juubi, the ten-tailed demon, and sealed it within himself to stop it. But knowing that the Juubi would be released upon his death, decided to seal Juubi's body in the moon and split it's chakra into nine pieces and spread them across the globe, which became the Bijuu. Madara plans to collect all the Bijuu and restore Juubi, making himself it's new host. Then he will project a super Tsukiyomi on the moon which will put everyone in an illusion, and with this he will bring peace to the world. He says that he wants to know their opinion and whether or not they'll comply and give over Naruto and Killer B, but they refuse, so Madara declares the 4th ninja world war. After leaving the Kage summit, Madara caught up with Danzo and his bodyguards, Fu and Torune, saying that he hadn't seen Danzo since the Uchiha Massacre. Danzo's bodyguards attacked and Madara, forcing him back. Danzo then told them to cover him.
While they attacked, Danzo started undoing the brace and bandages on his right arm. Torune threw kunais which Madara dodged, but it was just a distraction while Fu tried to use Mind-Body Switch, but Madara phased through the ground to avoid it. Madara reappeared behind Fu, Fu tried to attack with his tanto but Madara grabbed his hand and was about to punch Fu, but Torune threw a kunai at Madara which forced him to phase, allowing Fu to escape. They realized that Madara can't attack while he's phasing, so Torune took off his gloves and the duo attacked in unison. Fu went through Madara and he spun around to punch him while Torune came at Madara from behind, but it was a trick, Madara just acted like he was going to attack and Torune went through Madara and accidentally hit Fu. Madara realized that they were from the Yamanaka and Aburame clans, and that Torune's punch infected Fu's arm with his insects, but Torune healed Fu. Torune then took off his jacket and attacked Madara, but Madara teleported him away, however Madara's arm was infected in the process and he removed his arm and kicked it at Fu. As Fu evaded it, Madara teleported him away too. Madara then retrieved Sasuke and Karin, telling him that he has a gift for Sasuke, and brings Sasuke out to fight Danzo. Danzo however has finished releasing his arm, revealing it to be covered in Sharingans, and says that he'll take Sasuke's and Madara's too.
Madara watched the ensuing battle and was happy that Sasuke would strike down Karin in order to get to Danzo. However Danzo didn't die right away and tried to leave, but Madara intercepted him. Danzo then decided to kill himself with a suicide jutsu in order to stop Madara and Sasuke, Madara recognized his Reverse Four Symbols Seal and warned Sasuke to get away and they both managed to survive. Madara then went to take Danzo's body and advised Sasuke to finish off the badly wounded Karin so that she doesn't reveal their plans to enemies. Upon getting back to base Madara tried to retrieve Shisui's eye from Danzo, but found that Danzo had destroyed the eye; this is where Madara revealed a large collection of Sharingans. While replacing his arm, he's informed by Zetsu that Sasuke was in trouble and went to save Sasuke.
Madara is confronted at his hideout by Kabuto whom has been empowered by Orochimaru. Since Kabuto worked as a double agent against Akatsuki, Madara accuses him of being a traitor and attacks but Kabuto keeps his distance, using Resurrection to the Impure World to summon: Deidara, Itachi, Kakuzu, Nagato, and Sasori. Rather than attack, Kabuto insisted that he wants to join Madara. Madara was weary, wondering why Kabuto wanted to join him, Kabuto said that in return for providing soldiers for Madara's war that he wants Sasuke. Madara initially refused, but Kabuto resurrected someone that Madara couldn't say no to, so Madara agreed on the condition that Kabuto can't have Sasuke until after the war and he'll be guarding Sasuke at all times.
When Madara came to the Rain village to retrieve the Rinnegan from Nagato's corpse, Konan was there to stop him. Madara asked why they betrayed him, and if Naruto was really worth it and Konan replied that Naruto is light incarnate ans brings the flower of hope. Madara noticed that she was still wearing the Akatsuki cloak and wondered if she missed the group, she replied that the cloaks are a symbol of the blood of war that rained down across their village and that they were made by Yahiko and belong to them, and that the Rinnegan also belongs to the Rain village and not to him. Madara corrects her, saying that he was the one that made Yahiko create Akatsuki... and he was the one that gave Nagato the Rinnegan, and that both belong to him. Konan attacks with Paper Shurikens, but Madara phases through them. Konan flew at Madara, but Madara grabbed her to suck her up; but she placed explosive seals on some of her paper and tried to kill Madara while he was solid. It didn't work however, Madara sucked up most of the explosion, leaving both of them injured but alive. Konan then said that Madara is darkness and that without light flowers wither and die; she then reveals her trap and the water beneath them turns into paper and splits apart.
Madara falls into her abyss of paper bombs and he tries to teleport away, but his teleporting isn't instant and Konan attempts to attack with her paper before he can get away and is forced to phase. Konan says that she knew that he wouldn't be fast enough to get away and that her trap will continue for 10 minutes, while Madara's only capable of staying intangible for 5 minutes. She says that Yahiko and Nagato were never Madara's pawns and runs out of chakra, with her paper body becoming flesh and blood again. She has a sigh of relief, but then Madara appears behind her and stabs her with a pipe. She wonders how he survived, saying that she calculated many scenarios and that one should had killed him. Madara reveals as his left eye closes that he used Izanagi, a jutsu that bends illusions into reality, and that only someone with both the powers of the Uchiha and Senju can use it... and that he gained Hashirama's power during their battle at the Valley of the End. She is baffled and Madara reveals that Izanagi was a technique used by Rikudou, dreaming up something and then giving it form and that's how he created the 9 Bijuus from the Juubi's chakra. Madara then goes on to tell Konan that she shouldn't had put her trust in Naruto and insulted Nagato, Konan's resolve didn't break though and she tried to attack Madara, but Madara grabbed her by the throat and said that he will be like the darkness and make her wilt and die, but first he'll find out where Nagato is using a genjutsu on her. He then goes to the hidden area where Nagato and Yahiko are laying and closes Nagato's eyes and teleports him away to his dimension.
He then reappears with a new mask and clothes, and once again wields his war fan. Kabuto mentions that he has nice new eyes, but Madara says they were his to begin with. Zetsu interrupts revealing that they got Kisame's info, to which Madara states that it's time to go after the Kyuubi. Kabuto suggests that he foes to get the Hachibi and Kyuubi. Madara wonders what Kabuto's trying to do, but Kabuto insists that it's his way of earning Madara's trust... but wants to be compensated with Hashirama's tissue, but will settle for a Zetsu. Madara agrees to give Kabuto one Zetsu if he succeeds. Madara then wanted to show Kabuto something.
They go deeper into Madara's lair which reveals a massive plant growing all through it, and Madara reveals that it was grown using tissue that he stole from Hashirama. He then reveals vast legion of Zetsu clones. After Kabuto returns, he reveals that he could not capture the Jinchuuriki, but he did capture Yamato in order to retrieve information and empower the Zetsu clones. After Kabuto's done, Madara begins the march to war and Kabuto revealed more Edo Tensei summonings: Han, Utakata, Yugito, Fuu, Yagura, Roushi, 3rd Raikage, 4th Kazekage, unknown Kage, Hazashi, Dan, Asuma, Hanzo, Chiyo, Kimimaro, Haku, Zabuza, and an unknown male. It was later exposed in the battle after Kabuto Yakushi by using the Edo Tensei brought back the real Madara Uchiha showing that Tobi was a fake. but Madara seems to be working together with Tobi in chapters of Naruto.
Tobi has his Six Paths engage Naruto and a transformed Killer Bee. B devastates the area in an attempt to force Tobi away while he seals the six jinchūriki, which Tobi counters by having the jinchūriki enter Version 2-like forms. As the jinchūriki overwhelm Naruto and B, Tobi takes advantage of Naruto's distraction and nearly captures him, only to be parried by Might Guy and Kakashi Hatake. In the confusion of their appearance, the Five-Tails breaks free of Tobi's control but he promptly subdues it. He then forces the Four-Tails and Six-Tails to fully transform in an attempt to take control of the battle. The Four-Tails is able to swallow Naruto, leading Tobi to believe that Naruto is finally out of commission. Instead, the Four-Tails manages to communicate to Naruto how Tobi is controlling it. Naruto escapes from its mouth, locates the chakra receiver embedded in the Four-Tails' flesh, and removes it.
With the Four-Tails free, Tobi quickly summons the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to reseal the beast. He has the remaining jinchūriki transform into their respective tailed beasts to try and finally bring the situation under his control. Despite the overwhelming power of the five tailed beasts, Naruto, working in full cooperation with the Nine-Tails, is able to neutralise all of them and free them from Tobi's influence. Like the Four-Tails, Tobi seals them back into the Statue. Despite the setbacks, Tobi remains confident that he will emerge victorious.
Sometime later, the revived bodies of the jinchūriki, having been kept restrained by a transformed Killer B, are released from the effects of the Impure World Resurrection, causing them to once again become lifeless corpses. As this could only mean that Kabuto has failed, Tobi realises that time is running out. With no other option he tosses the Benihisago and the Kohaku no Jōhei into the Demonic Statue's mouth which, in addition to the Eight-Tails' tentacle from the fake Killer B, completes the set of the nine tailed beasts, initiating the Ten-Tails' revival.
While the Demonic Statue undergoes its regeneration onto the Ten-Tails, Tobi protects it from Naruto, B, Guy, and Kakashi. Despite their combined efforts they are unable to get past Tobi or damage him. Tobi is even able to turn some of their own attacks against them, such as a lightning-infused kunai that Kakashi is forced to send away with Kamui. After this latter exchange, however, Kakashi notices that Tobi's mask takes damage. Unable to attribute the damage to any of their attacks, Kakashi tests a theory: after Tobi erects a barrier around the Statue, Naruto tries to hit him with a Rasengan. When the attack appears to pass through Tobi, Kakashi hits the Rasengan with Kamui, causing damage to Tobi's arm. Kakashi concludes that his Kamui and Tobi's Space–Time Ninjutsu share the same dimension; that attacks sent to the dimension at the same moment that Tobi has transported his body parts there for safety will do damage to Tobi.
Now that they have a strategy to use against Tobi, Naruto, B, Guy, and Kakashi begin to coordinate their efforts. One of Naruto's shadow clones attacks Tobi, but the attack appears to fail and the clone disappears. The real Naruto attacks immediately afterwards with a Tailed Beast Ball, which Tobi avoids by retreating to the other dimension. There he finds Naruto's shadow clone waiting for him, having been sent there by Kakashi's Kamui.
Before he has a chance to react he is hit in the face with a Rasengan, shattering his mask. His face revealed, Kakashi and Guy recognise him as their old comrade, Obito Uchiha. Guy, surprised with Obito's presence, wonders how he is still alive, while Kakashi confirmed it to be his former team-mate upon seeing both his Mangekyō Sharingan and a visibly crushed right face. When asked how he survived, Obito dodged the question and instead reveals his motivation; Kakashi's inability to save Rin, leading Obito to hate the reality they live in. As Kakashi hesitated to continue, Naruto instead rallied ahead to stop Obito, who promptly attacks with a fire technique. Right after Naruto intercepts the technique with Kurama's tails, Madara Uchiha arrives to Obito's side of the battlefield.
Striking up a conversation, the two Uchiha casually ignore their opponents. Obito eventually gave Madara his gunbai, in time for him to deflect several of the giant chakra receivers thrown at them. He is then left to deal with Kakashi and Might Guy as Madara confronted the Eight and Nine-Tails. When questioned about what had happened to him, Obito remembered when he first met Madara after he saved his life during the previous ninja war. Avoiding the clash between Naruto and Madara, Obito ignored Kakashi's questions, and told his former friend there is nothing left to say to each other and that the only thing left to do was for them to have their final battle. At first, Kakashi was more focused on getting answers that gave a vexed Obito an advantage. But once Obito's deathblow was intercepted by Naruto, Kakashi resolved to fight his former friend to protect his student.
As Obito questioned Kakashi's resolve, he also noted that Kakashi had used the Sharingan to perfect his Lightning Cutter and had even awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, but remarked that they would see whether or not Kakashi could return from the other dimension in his current condition. Creating a wooden branch from his right arm, Obito attempted to incapacitate Naruto while he warped Kakashi away. Naruto, however, headbutts Obito which sends him reeling. When Kakashi is later thrown by his opponents, Obito takes the opportunity to warp Kakashi away. Unbeknownst to him however, this was all part of Kurama's plan and his opponents' two-fold attack is launched: as Naruto attacked Obito from the real-world, Kakashi, who had been given chakra by Kurama attacked the parts of Obito's body which had been warped to the other dimension. When Kakashi returned from the other dimension, Obito watched on as the Ten-Tails is revived despite Naruto and Killer B's attempt to destroy it and heralds the end of this world.
Joining Madara atop of the Ten-Tails' head, two tendrils attached themselves to the Uchiha to give them control over it. Wanting to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi immediately, Obito was dismayed when Madara expressed wanting to test out the beast's power first. As the skirmish continued, and Naruto saved Kakashi from a swipe of the beast's tail, Obito began to see a bit of his younger self in Naruto. As Kakashi, Guy, and the Eight-Tails all ran out of chakra, and stamina, Obito told Naruto of the futility of his friends' struggle against the Ten-Tails. As Naruto refused to give up on his dreams, Obito told him that there was no need for that as within the dream-world, he would make Naruto Hokage. He then has the Ten-Tails prepare and fire a Tailed Beast Ball, but momentarily found himself affected by a presence. This was revealed to be Ino Yamanaka's Mind Body Switch Technique which she used long enough to veer the attack off course. Obito and Madara soon find themselves shrouded in a shrouded in mist and all sensory methods jammed. Lamenting the futility of this, they have the Ten-Tails clear the mist with a powerful swing of its tail and the two men find themselves face-to-face with the remainder of the entire Allied Shinobi Forces army.
Deeming their efforts futile, Obito explained to Naruto that the members of the Allied Shinobi Forces would go their separate ways when the war ended and that someone else would eventually finish what he and Madara began. After having his statement that there was no hope for this world rebuffed, and being told by Naruto that the majority did not share their ideals, Obito told the young man that he and Madara would just simply have to exterminate everyone else. With the Alliance bearing down on them, the two Uchiha are buffeted by a barrage of attacks which blinded them, as well as robbed their sensory skills once again, as they tried to attack the Ten-Tails as well. With their opposition confronting them directly, as they momentarily stopped the beast's movements in super-heated quicklime cement, Obito and Madara lamented their opposition's tedious efforts as they reveal the Ten-Tails was about to reach maturity.
As the Allied Forces attempt to attack the two Uchiha, the beast emerges in its mature form. They both quickly realise controlling the Ten-Tails will be harder now and use Hashirama's cells to control it better and Obito decides it is time to show them true despair. They both use the beasts power to level several villages until the Tailed Beast Ball reaches the Alliances' Headquarters. The two then discuss how to proceed with their plans and the fact that in order to become the beast's jinchūriki, Madara required a living body which could only be given by Obito sacrificing his own, which was the only reason Madara did not have the beast use a Tailed Beast Ball to eradicate the entire Alliance, leaving the legendary Uchiha at Obito's mercy. Noting that Obito had developed quite the attitude, Obito stated that he always had it, since he never considered Madara an ally. With Obito deciding to teach the Allied Shinobi Forces despair much to Madara's liking, Obito uses the beast as a medium to fire off several wooden projectiles, sending the Alliance into a frenzy.
Opting for a pinpoint attack on Naruto, it is instead intercepted by Neji Hyūga, killing him in the process. Capitalising on this, Obito used Naruto's guilt over Neji's death against him while reminding him of the people he already lost and the loneliness he will drown in again once all of his friends eventually die. Though Obito put Naruto in a very perplexed state, even asking him to join their cause, Hinata Hyūga ruined his attempted manipulation as he had the Ten-Tails attack again. With Naruto entering Tailed Beast Mode again, Obito is shocked when the young man started dispensing the beast's chakra to those on the battlefield. Attacking with the beast once again, his attack is deflected and he later found himself being controlled once more. After the Ten-Tails is immobilised as well, Obito decried his opponents belief that a fallen comrade should live on in their hearts, noting that it would only fester and become a curse.
Unable to move, Madara lends Obito some of his power to manipulate the beast but their attack deflected nonetheless. Upon hearing Hiashi Hyūga declare that Neji's sacrifice would not be in vain, Obito mocks him and his clan for having a system where members were essentially locked in cages awaiting their deaths. He and Madara are later shocked by the Alliance's counter-attack and the subsequent separation from the Ten-Tails as Naruto's Rasenshuriken while phasing through him, cut off his connection to the beast. With this, the two Uchiha are forced to retreat to the ground.
Forced to battle the enemies directly, Obito and Madara collaborated their attacks, which fail to kill any shinobi in the Allied Forces thanks to the chakra cloak Naruto provided each of them. Obito chastised Naruto again, noting that he was contradicting himself in saying that he felt closer to his friends when they died, yet was overexerting himself to protect them. Naruto quickly rebuffed Obito's logic, telling him that a loner like him would not understand. As Kakashi prepared to attempt to warp away the beast again, Obito intercepted him noting that he was waiting for Kakashi to make another attempt. As they both use Kamui on the other, they were warped away to Kamui's dimension.
Upon entering Kamui's dimension, Kakashi reacted first and was prime to strike Obito down with his Lightning Cutter, only to stop at the last second. Surprised, Obito questioned if his friend's hesitation is motivated by guilt about failing to keep his promise as Kakashi pleaded with Obito to stop fighting by reminding him of who he was and that he can return to being the child. However, Obito laughed as he clarifies he did not start this war for them while using his genjutsu to purposely walking towards Kakashi's Lightning Cutter and impaling himself — recreating the scene where Rin was impaled by the same technique. Revealing that he knew the truth behind Rin's death, Obito explains that it was "fake" world they live in and system of the shinobi nations that made him lose hope.
Despite Kakashi's insistence that he still felt the way Naruto does, Obito steps back and uses the illusion of his injury to clarify that the hellish world they lived in was to blame for the hollowed man he has become. From there, Obito tries to sway Kakashi to his views, using illusions of his younger self and Rin to appeal to Kakashi's happier memories. However, destroying the illusions, Kakashi refuses Obito's offer of a dream world on the grounds that it would never heal one's pain while their reality is not all cruel as having friends eases that suffering. Obito scoffed at Kakashi's words, saying that attachments like that are the source of suffering, but is taken back Kakashi however reminds Obito of the lesson he taught him and that he will make him accept his ideals again by force it needed.
Obito plan had been placed the moment madara summoned him to the field again this time being controlled by the chakra rods from his senju side more likely do to him being with zetsu. Minato wanted to end this by using his space-time technique to teleport in front of the apparent weak and injured obito and with his kunai obito seemed dead but madara seemed fine about it and the Shinju itself disappeared by this minato looks back at obito who i chuckling with a smirk stating he is the new jinchuuriki of the juubi.
Tobi has displayed a nearly few types of jutsu so far, such as kumai which he can use to teleport himself or others to another dimension, a related unnamed phasing jutsu, an unnamed katon, Mole Hiding, aswell as the Mangekyou Sharingan and the ability to summon and control the Kyuubi . He has also shown the ability to create replacement body parts. He has also gained possession of Hashirama's power and had the ability to use Izanagi, allowing him to turn fantasy into reality. He has recently gained the Rinnegan. Aside from granting it's user with only 3 elements then all 7, it possesses 6 abilities based on the 6 paths of Buddhist reincarnation: gravity manipulation (Deva path), body modification (Asura path), telepathy (Human path), summoning (Animal path), chakra absorption (Preta path), and resurrection (Hell path).also used the the abilities of the Outer Path and he has also went as far as to create his own version of the Six paths ofPain using the previous Jinchuriki with their former tailed beasts inside.
Obito uchiha has shown to also summon and control the Demonic Statue of Outer Path (Gedo Mazou).A Giant hollow shell of the Ten-tails statue capable of sealing the tailed beasts and human souls. It currently contains the seven beasts and apart of the eight tails and nine tails charkas.
Obito powers as the ten-tails jinchuuriki made him unhuman stated by him
having the power of the Ancestor Of Shinobi Hagoromo Otsutsuki this also gained him immortality only to having one weakness toward the sage art of senjutsu but this was just the fraction of what the ten-tails gained him also. Having his physical body changed his stats also changed with it abling to have teleportation abilities and flying he has shown to even use the black chakra that can destroy any ninjutsu that comes his way.
Sword of Nunoboko a holy artefact which Hagoromo had used to shape the world this is the most powerful weapon in the whole naruto universe stated to hold all the souls of the deceased and even shaped the shinobi world.
