O-Parts Hunter (aka 666 Satan) is a shonen manga series written and drawn by Seishi Kishimoto. The plot is centered around a girl named Ruby Crescent, and a young boy named Jio Freed, as they search for legendary O-parts and go on a grand adventure.

Overview

written and drawn by Seishi Kishimoto, the series ran in monthly Shonen Gangan from 2001 to 2007. Seishi published the first Tankobon volume on December 20th, 2001.

Plot

The plot is set in a mysterious futuristic world, and centeres around two main protagonists. Ruby Crescent, who wishes to follow in the footsteps of her father and become a treasure hunter of rare and powerful items known as O-parts; and Jio Freed, a boy with a mysterious past and monsterous strength who's goal is to rule the world. Together they search the world for these O-parts and learn to become OPT's (O-Part Tacticians), and as a result, take part on a grand adventure.

Publishing History

The manga was originally published in Japan by Square Enix in their monthly Shōnen Gangan from 2001 to 2007, and later published in several other countries by Viz Media, who subsequently changed its name to O-parts Hunter only in the United States to avoid offending people.
