A Pararakelse Island with an almost eerie resemblance to Shinobu.
Nyamo was a resident of Pararakelse Island who lived with her grandfather. After her grandfather mysteriously vanished, Nyamo would join up with Seta Noriyasu in his search for a lost turtle civilization on the island that her grandfather sought out.
Nyamo was a supporting character who would first appear in the eighth volume of Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina manga series. There is no information known about about her character design during development of the series. She appears in the Love Hina Spring Special anime, where she is voiced by Nana Mizuki in Japanese and Michelle Ruff in English.
Nyamo is almost physically similar to Shinobu Maehara in appearance, with the exception that she has darker skin color and longer hair with a red hair ribbon tied to make a ponytail. Her normal attire consisted of a blue tube top with a brown vest and wrapped up short skirt. She wears a locket necklace around her neck that contains a photo featuring her and her grandfather.
Nyamo has a number of personality traits similar to Shinobu in that she is shy and hesitant at talking to strangers. She speaks English in the manga, which leads to a language barrier when Keitaro and the Hinata Inn residents interact with her during their time on the island. In the anime, she is able to sing a song that is able to control hot spring turtles.
Nyamo was hoping to uncover the whereabouts of a lost turtle civilization on Pararakelse Island in her grandfather's memory and Keitaro would assist her in trying to discover it. Their exploration was disrupted by the arrival of Naru, who sought out Keitaro from leaving before the results of his entrance exam were announced. Despite hostilities, the three would partner up to uncover the whereabouts of the turtle civilization and are reunited with the other Hinata Inn residents who sought out Naru and Keitaro.
Events with Nyamo's character after this would differ between the anime and manga. In the anime, she would leave the island with a pack of hot springs turtles to seek out her grandfather's whereabouts. In the manga, she would stay on the island and would later reunite with Keitaro and the girls to deliver a letter from Seta about an opportunity for Keitaro to excavate ruins from the turtle civilization they had discovered.
