Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Plot

A young boy named Rikuo is a grandchild of the supreme commander of Nura Clan of Yokai, Nurarihyon. As Nurarihyon chose Rikuo, Rikuo must complete his task to succeed his grandfather in order to led the clan. Due to his human form, Rikuo may unleash his powers during night to defeat evil beings. Will Rikuo be able to accomplish his task?

Cast

Rikuo Nura

Rikuo Nura is a half Yokai and a half Human. He become human during the day, while he turned into a Yokai in the night times. He is the grandson of the Supreme Commander of Nura Clan, Nurarihyon, Son of Rihan Nura and Wakana Nura, and the 3rd heir of the Nura Clan.

Tsurara Oikawa

Tsurara Oikawa is a Yuki-Onna Yokai. She is one of Rikuo's trusted guardian. She and Aotabou disguise themselves into a middle school students in order to protect his master, where Rikuo is weak during this period as he turn human.

Aotabou

Aotabou is one of Rikuo's trusted guardian and once a warrior monk. He disguise himself into a middle school boy named Kurata in order to watch over his master, Rikuo Nura.

Major Story Arcs

Kyuuso Arc

Kyuuso has betrayed the Nura Clan and has kidnapped Yura and Kana Ienaga. Rikuo and his minions came to rescue both of them including Ryota Neko.

Gyuki Arc

Gyuki Arc is the first Arc of the series. It begins with the Nura Clan fighting over the Kyuuso Clan to save Rikuo's friend, Kana Ienaga and Yura Keikain. Much later, Rikuo got invited to come along with Kyojuji Patrol Squad in order to investigate Yokai on Mount Nejireme, where the Gyuki Clan live there.

After Rikuo fought Gyuki, he was severally injured and take Gyuki back to the household and spare him for what he's done. Rikuo also realizing that Gyuki only want to protect the Nura Clan and would kill anyone who tries to destroy the clan, even if its Rikuo himself.

Shikoku Arc

A yokai called Tamazuki came to Ukiyoe along with his minions to surpass his father. Rikuo and his Clan decided to attack them back.

Soundtrack

The anime has the Opening theme of Fast Forward by Monkey Majik and Sunshine by Monkey Majik.
