Nina is a particularly intelligent science student from Ashford Academy. Her fanatical hatred for Zero drove her to complete the FLEIJA weapon.
Nina is a particularly intelligent science student at Ashford Academy. She is also childhood friends with Milly Ashford. She has a an irrational fear of the Japanese and an equally great crush on Princess Euphemia after they were both involved in a hostage situation by Japanese rebels. It became an obsession for her to meet the princess and went to great lengths to see her.
After the news of Princess Euphemia's murder at the hands of Zero was released. Nina when into a fanatical rage. She shut herself off from the world to complete a weapon she had been tinkering with before.
During the battle for Tokyo between Britannian Forces and Black Knight. Nina tried to black mail her way to have Zero brought to her by threatening to use her weapon of mass destruction. She didn't care that it would kill both sides and her friends. Only Lloyd Asplund new how devastating such a weapon could be. When her demands were not met. Nina tried to detonate the weapon, but it failed.
Only after finally witnessing her FLEIJA weapon in use did she finally understand the devastation she had created. Though the weapon had been used by the Britannian Forces. Nina became a wanted fugitive for being the creator of the weapon that was the cause of a million deaths in Tokyo.
She was found and brought into Lelouch's service for the purpose of developing a counter measure that would nullify the weapon of mass destruction she helped to create.
