Yui Makino to Tour New York Anime Fest

New guest at NYAF!

New York Anime Fest has added another guest to its list today: Yui Makino , a seiyuu and singer who made her CD debut with the ending theme song for Sousei no Aquarion -- written by Yoko Kanno , if that tells you anything about Makino's singing caliber.

But most of you will probably be more familiar with her as the voice actress who plays Sakura in the Japanese dub of Tsubasa. She also voiced Misaki Nakahara in Welcome to the NHK, as well as roles in Bokurano, Sketchbok, and Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo. She'll be having an autograph session, a panel, and a special concert as well.

Makino is also near and dear to my heart because she's a blogger extraordinaire: her blog is one of Japan's most-read. I do love my bloggers! <3 (Thanks for the tip, MrBoobo!)

I really love that song she sings for the Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations OVA called "Synchronicity". I haven't heard much of her other songs though.

I think I knew her the best from her Aria songs. And now Honoka from Sorakake Girl...
