Normally, I might comment on how (in keeping with the procession of very easy-to-draw video game comparisons in this show) this episode’s foe seems like he ganked his gimmick from a MEGA MAN robot master, but I’ll lay off, just this once. Instead, I’d really rather discuss the ladies! See, maybe it’s my fault for underestimating this show, but I’m pleased to see how loose threads from way back in the series are actually being picked up again and, wouldn’t you know it, they revolve around these girls.
For one, the scene where Yukina runs into Toguro again reminded me a whole hell of a lot of Sarah Connor’s “reunion” with the Terminator at the hospital in T2. It’s missing the necessary slo-mo utterances of “Nooooooo!” but it was still pretty chilling. Seeing as how I expected her to be just part of a one-off story, her comeback opens up a lot of possibilities, not the least of which being the amusing prospect that Kuwabara might’ve found a girl who actually finds his over-the-top goofiness charming.
That puzzling scene where Kuwabara’s big sis ran into the mob boss way back when is also getting callback. I’d like to believe that she’s only getting cigarettes from him, since the prices are probably gouged to all hell in demon world, but it’s probably more sinister. It’s honestly kind-of icky to imagine that they’re hooking up, but that's the likeliest possibility.
Lastly, Keiko and Yusuke are starting to seem more like a couple - - because they’re fighting most of the time! Well, take a step back… they would seem like one if they actually had the physical component, but this is a shonen after all. Actually, taking a step forward, there is a different sort of physical component at play since that the notion of her being a little troubled by Yusuke’s violent tendencies has risen again. Taking that power slap she deals out on the goblin in mind, though, maybe they’ve got more in common than she realizes.

Glad to see you regaining your interest in the series..I was kind of feeling bad seeing how we sort of forced your hand in this one lol.
Also, I know this has nothing to do with YYH...but are you going to be doing a Q&A on the move?
I just want to say that even though I don't always comment I love reading these. Thank you for doing this.
Anyway I love this episode, only Kwabara could make the power of love so awesome.
