Yen Press Gets A Little Clique-y

I don't know about you, but when I was in middle school, "clique" was a bad word. In fact, in one class several years ahead of me, the girls were so clique-ish that nearly all of the parents took their girls out of school by eighth grade, leaving almost an all-girls class. I never heard exactly why that happened, but...

Anyway, so I've never had any interest in The Clique. And frankly, word that Yen Press is going to make a manga version of the novel doesn't get me excited either, even hearing that the artist behind it is Yishan Li. I guess glorification of the girls who made my childhood mildly hellish just isn't my thing. Which is probably why this news is a bit late!

But hey, you guys aren't me, and I'm not you, so that's the word on the streets. So! Anyone here a Clique fan? Or just like the more obnoxious side of schoolgirls?

The only girly high school thing I've ever seen was Azumanga Daioh and that was mainly for the laughs (courtesy of the pervert teacher, "GRAND PRIZE!") so I'll have to pass on something that tries to take the whole thing seriously.
