I've seen a lot of jacked up tattoos in my day, a fair share of pieces done with a Sanrio characters as the centerpiece, and a handful of crossovers between Sanrio and other pop-culture properties, but nothing prepared me for what I found while venturing into Hello Kitty Hell.

So, if I had to choose an anime-themed tattoo it would probably be something innocuous, like Totoro or Teto (Nausicaa's fox-squirrel). Miyazaki characters are always a good choice and probably won't give my faint-of-heart relatives much reason to strap me onto an exorcism table. HK...she's just way too political. How about you? Has any character or object in anime earned the right to be stamped onto your skin?
Here's a link to a whole gallery of HK tattoos. Enjoy!

As for tattoos, i just refuse to get them for the simple fact that there is nothing out there that i wouldn't hate after a few weeks of looking at it all the time. No matter how much i love it after enough time of looking at it every day i would be sick of it. I have always wanted to get a sleeve done on my left arm made of various things that i love in my life that goes up onto my chest and encircles the Canadian flag around my heart, but as for reasons i said above and things like the cost of doing it keep me from ever getting it done.
I would probably never get one myself.
Anyway in the movie, or the part of it that I saw, a woman wakes up having stayed over at two guys' place (I think one of them was her brother). Apparently they had been drinking, she notices she has the text "Property of Bengt" seemingly tattooed on her forhead and freaks out. The two guys calm her down and explains that it is not in fact a tattoo.
So yes, I would subject someone to that for the only reason anyone ever does anything.
