After focusing on Atsumi for a couple of episodes we shift focus to Atsushi's grade school life. The episode introduces Atsushi's teacher, Futami Moriyama, who is very uncomfortable with Atsushi's physique. After scaring her off as Atsushi changed for P.E. along with his friends and classmates (Tetsuya and Takumi), Moriyama complained to a fellow teacher about how uncomfortable it is to be with men. After school, Atsushi and his friend Hina-chan walk home where they talk about how unsafe the streets are because of sexual predators. After Atsushi tells Hina he'll always protect her, he is accused of being a pedophile... again.
I really want to like this but everything is happening too fast! There is so much that happened in this episode but three minutes were not enough to contain it. A lot of funny gags surfaced and the joke of Atsushi accused as a pedophile reoccurred, yet there was little to no breathing room between the events of this episode. They need to start pacing themselves.
The best part of this episode is Astushi's innocence. You tend to forget he's a young kid because of his appearance, but his quirks are what distinguishes him. As a standalone character he is very memorable, but when you star in a show that doesn't give you time to take in what's happening, you can easily be overshadowed. I still say each episode needs to be longer than three minutes, if it wants to make any kind of mark on anime history.
