I always dislike angsting characters (beside Batman), they always pull the show down for me. I guess that why I like Shonen shows, since I don't really get that much angsting characters.
Solid VP episode guys. I just finished watching Cass Sins myself earlier this week and Tom hit it on the head. It's more of a thinking mans title and i appreciate that BUT i will say it came on very thick with the inner monlogues at times and yeah for sure if it was 12-13 episodes it would have been more concise and just a little less melodramatic.
Also alot of ppl assumed things in the series without proof...lunas dead, where you there err no but everybody says so, wait lunas alive...really? how do you know....well i dont but i guess i better look for her anyway...lol come on now.
but yeah overall it's a good show that questions alot of meaningful ideals. cant blame sam for dropping it tho, certainly not for everybody
Sad, angsty...same idea.
Why don't heroes laugh all the time instead?
I like Casshern Sins and Casshern a lot at first, but as it progresses, I started to like it less. It's awesome to see Casshern doing whatever he can to atone by finding Luna, but he was so wishy washy just like most folks in the show. I didn't pick up that Casshern Sins is similar Oedipus Rex, but now, I made the connection.

So why does Batman get a pass?

Not every hero can handle Munky D. Luffy's sunny disposition, I suppose.

Thanks, Friender!
What's frustrating about the show is that there's a lot of good material that could shine better if it were given another editorial pass or two. I think all the assumptions you're talking about would go down easier if the whole thing we're more an abstract impression of a saga instead of a tone poem that's stretched out to a saga's length.

The whole time, I was saying it was like MEGA MAN: THE OPERA - - and I wasn't saying that because of music. The show was totally structured like some classical tragedy - - for better or worse.

Just try to resist the tragic, pop mecha melody...!

He is cool and it don't really put the show/book down. (since I not reminded of his sad back story every five minutes)
I don't really find it tragic

I was pretty shocked that the original Casshan was like Megaman, and Sins just took a way different approach. It's like Ocarina of Time to Majora's Mask in some unrelated comparison.
I wasn't never a fan of classic plays. It was something I was forced to read in Brit Lit.
Casshern Sins makes Disney Princesses look like amateurs. No offense to the fans who grew up with them.
