Tom you are nothing if not astute when it comes to critical breakdowns and I love hearing your thoughts about this stuff, I agree that K La K's pacing was kinda of Repetitive and slipshod, though I did love how everyone was naked at the end, which for me Really brought home the central theme of clothing being a superficial cover for ones identity, However concerning the show's spastic execution, I think your theory was Right on the money Tom, Trigger being a new off shoot of Gainax probably lacked the super vision Of its parent company, ya know what happens when a kid gets keys to his dad's car, CRASH!!, still none of us can look away can we....

I was pretty hypocritical, but I see a lot of flaws with the show once folks start chiming in. I enjoy the series when I just watch it for the hell of it. Yeah, the story was pretty hectic and shallow. I still remember sickVisionz's statement about how Trigger is about animation while Gainax does better story telling and animation.

Haven't seen Fooly Cooly, but I heard two different sides. I'm leaning towards the guys who find Kill la Kill executing poorly with implementing the deep meaning compared to Fooly Cooly that looks like a mess, but it actually had deeper meaning.

Like Donwun and Tom said, it's okay to disagree. It's beautiful to hear both sides of the coin with a civil side. I was glad it didn't turn out ugly because our community is pretty hip. Most of the folks who love the show flock to the Kill la Kill discussion thread while most of the folks hate the show go to the front page. I find it interesting.
