Whoa… out of all the fantasy punishments throughout fiction and mythology - - pushing a boulder up a cliff forever like Sisyphus, floating perpetually in a pond between its surface and a grapevine with a state of thirst and hunger like Tantalus, and so on - - I think the fate the vampire girl suffers in this NEGIMA?! MAGIEST NEGI MEGI has got to be the worst. Being condemned to repeat high school over and over and over again? Man… I don’t know what crimes she committed as a vampire, but they’d have to be positively diabolic to warrant being punished with such an endless cycle of tedium and humiliation.
I didn’t get to watch the first episode of this show. I think I get the gist of it, but fill in the blanks as I leave them. So this 10 year old kid Negi Springfield is quite the prodigy of the mystic arts. He’s the son of “Master 1000 Years Old”, and that pedigree makes him quite advanced for his age - - advanced enough to teach homeroom to a private school full of weird girls. Some are vampires, some are androids, and so on… and he’s going to be dealing with all their hijinks throughout the series.
I don’t know which story dropped first, so I’m not going to level out copycat/homage/parody/ripoff/coincidence allegations, but I was picking up a strong HARRY POTTER vibe while watching the beginning of this episode. I mean… a Rivers Cuomo-style emo lead with glasses who’s a wizard-in-training at a private school. You don’t really have to change too many relevant nouns to note similarities. But then, as the episode went along and things got really cracked with the vampire girl who’s going be a “child left behind” for the rest of her life and the robot girl who won’t be turned by a vampire bite… then it was pretty clear that these were two different animals. It was fun… I might check out more episodes.
I must comment that the rubber ducky soldering iron had to be craziest combination of manliness and girliness I've seen. It’s like seeing a Hello Kitty tire iron.

Anyways, check out the original manga Negima! if you would like, it's hell of a lot better then the spin off stuff IMO.
LIES!
Look into your heart, you know it to be true.
Either way, go read the original manga. :P
Oh, well i can't put a verdict on that yet, ok Negima?! is the good Negima anime
Both Negima TV series suck since they don't understand that the main character is Negi, and should focus on him, and not random school girls. It's just that Negima! sucks from the start while Negima ?! at least pulls out a few good episodes before it jumps the shark by trying to force the mammoth cast in 26 episodes.
