3 mech anime .. done in by hollywood... err.. um if im gona dream might as well dream they would stay true to the source material to ?

In no order at all it would be ..

Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse enuff there for a bouncy action summer movie. Decent story an good mech designs an aliens that just want to have dinner with you.

Patlabor some cop stories need mechs with flashing police lights on them.

Robotech/Macross Universe of parallel storyline protoculture factory posibilites.Long as i see a Valkyrie in it.

Stuck with seires i have watched an could see as a big screen movie.

Honestly, that movie will be epic to see! Im ready to see it. But, I just don't like the fact that they have blatantly ripped Evangelion. The name of the movie should have just been Neon Genesis. But, if any adaptations come, it think it will finally be between a long awaited Gundam movie, or possibly Eureka 7. Everyone understands why Gundam is here, but I really think it will be an Eureka 7 movie only because of the whole plot of it, and the fact that it's children that will have the leading roles. I honestly wanted a REAL Evangelion movie, but Pacific Rim will do.

The Big O, how could anyone not do/see that next as an adaptation? I noire with robots is a perfect genre movie as long as they don't dumb down all those concepts and deep questions.

Gundam would look ridiculous in live action, because the Mechs are far too agile to effectively pull-off, IMO.

Gundam. I thought Pacific Rim was going to be like that and I was hyped. Then I saw the trailer and it looked like all those goofy 70s robots and I lost all interest.

@sickVisionz: Pacific Rim doesn't look goofy to me. It's definitely not in the vein of Gundam, but it's not silly.

My first pick would be Gundam since that was my first introduction to Mecha Anime. Then I'd have to go with Robotech.
