Welcome back One Piece, my life is nothing without you! Did you all watch the New World? It rocked my face, which isn’t too hard when One Piece is concerned. So on to this chapter, last time we were shown how all the Straw Hats have found a fishman dancing partner, well except for Nami and Robin. Now it’s time to see them dance!
THE GOOD
First off its great to see that Vivi is customer at S Mart, I wonder is she saw Ash there? Basically this chapter was all about Luffy’s fight with Hody and the giant ship Noah. And really, that’s basically it. Luffy is running out of air and Hody of course will not let him refill, so he slices open Noah’s bubble and calls it a day. However, the good fishmen have other plans, which are basically firing a giant bubble at Noah, hoping that it will stick and give Luffy enough time to help save the day.
The fight rages on, no one really has the upper hand, and Brother Fukaboshi gets his ass kicked. However, he leaves us with a nugget of information that I’m sure will be very important in future chapters. That he knows Hody’s true form, what ever that may be. (I’m calling it now, Hody used to be a Human.)
THE BAD
Not much really happened in this chapter, and that is not always a bad thing, but the way it was executed left me wanting more and confused. Just the way things were placed on the page left me in a state of confusion, like character’s locations within this three dimensional ocean for example. Usually confusion like this will fix itself out in the anime, so I’m looking forward to that.
THE VERDICT 2/5
This chapter definitely could have been better, but it did have some good moments, like when Luffy ripped off Hody’s dorsal blade and gave him a knuckle sandwich. Actually, what’s great about this fight is that is very similar to the fight he had with Arlong. So next chapter we should learn about either what Hody’s true form is, or we will be shown some of the other Straw Hat’s battles.
No I'm calling it one of Hodys parents was a Human.
Yeah the chapter was a bit slow like you said. But hey at least we've got the Anime to keep us happy and boy I'm looking forward to the next one. Hoping it ends with Zoro slicing that ship in half and making the most bad-ass entrance.
Need more Zoro
I seriously want the fishman arc to end already. lets go kick some new enemies assses. It gets really good then leaves us hanging. ARG!!!
I cannot tell what's happening with the artwork in this chapter. It's so haphazard, I literally don't understand what actions are supposed to be actions. The panel where luffy punches hodi and hodi bites him looks so goofy and odd, I had to reread the page 3 or 4 times before I figured out what actually happened.
Boring chapter. The fights should have started like two months ago. All this crap with the boat and everything should happen when all the fights ended, not now.
hody is a robot because luffy has been kicking his ass for the past chapters and he does not seems hurt at all
