Naruto I'm following vaguely. Things have just became sooooo Emo lately. For Pete's sake, SOMEONE kill Sasuke and put him out of 'my' misery. Naruto used to be fun to read.
One Piece is a frequent follow, the same for Detective Conan. I got to say that I'm pretty sick of the Whitebeard War Arc. I really want it to be over so the crew can get back together again. There have also be a LOT of breaks recently. Seems understandable when you look at how many double page panels there have been with so much detail. Two page panels used to be extremely rare in One Piece, but more recently it's in every chapter.
I'm still on the fence if 'that character' will really remain dead. Never know what Oda has up his sleeve. Perhaps Ivan can do some hormone or transfer if he gets to him in time. He may be dead, but can still be resuscitated.
I have heard a story that Whitebeard is roughly based on some guy Oda knew that passed away not long ago.
I'm on edge about what changes Oda might put to One Piece. Especially after the trauma Luffy suffered. The only thing I'm looking forward to after this. Luffy's new bounty.
I still believe that the Straw Hat crew may get one new member that is from the New World when they get there. Robin was a wealth of information about that first end of the Grand Line, but I don't think she has ever been to the other side. She didn't know how you get there with a ship coating. I believe WAYYYY back Luffy said he wanted a crew of about ten people back at the tail end of Chapter 1. That would even out the numbers with Blackbeard's crew.
Hell yeah! Luffys new bounty is going to be outrageous. Im still wondering how Oda is going to go about getting Luffys crew back togeather. That may be a long and drawn out process, but very gratifying in the end.
I seriously doubt it will be long and drawn out. I think most of the crew are in islands on the Grand Line (need to confirm that).
If anyone outside the Grand Line can get to the Red Line. They can get very close to where Luffy is.
Remember that all the crew have Vivre Cards from Rayleigh. They don't need a Log Pose. That lets them all know where to go. Luffy isn't too far away from where the Thousand Sunny is being kept. The coating was done days ago. Rayleigh said about three days. Well, Luffy was sent to Amazon Lily where he spent a day or two, it took four days to get to Impel Down, he spent a little over a day there, the trip to Marineford, and whatever time else has passed.
I'm sure the Revolutionaries are paying close attention to this. So, Robin knows what's going on. It's unsure how much news the others get. Franky is on an island with civilization and news.

I took a quick inventory of the crew at the positions of the islands they were sent to.
Straw Hat Locations
Chopper is in the South Blue, but that's on the same side of the Red Line as the first half of the Grand Line and the East Blue. Also, It is the land of giant birds. Conceivably, Chopper could fly one of those birds back.
Robin could meet Dragon or just get a ride back from the Revolutionaries. Everyone else is in the Grand Line.
What I'm curious about. I wonder what will happen if Sanji finds out what Island Luffy was sent to after what he went through on Kamabakka Island.

Blackbeard's Motives
This is something that I have been wondering for a while. Blackbeard went through a LOT of trouble to get the position with the Shichibukai. Going after Luffy and having that epic battle with Ace. Yet he tossed it aside so easily and quickly.It makes me think that all Blackbeard wanted was to free those prisoners from Impel Down to pad his crew. Either he wanted a crew of absolutely infamous pirates, or he knew of them from the past. He needed to be a Shichibukai to get access to Impel Down. Once he had it, he abandoned the title.
About that female pirate. I'm betting that is Catarina Devon. Ivan talked about her and the others in Chapter 538. She is said to be the most dangerous woman ever imprisoned in the Great Pirate Age, Also. I'm pretty sure Luffy's mother is already dead. The cause might explain why Dragon became a Revolutionary.
About Blackbeard's other members. There is Shiryuu that we know as the former Warden of Impel Down. Also in Chapter 538, Ivan named off several other people who were imprisoned in the mysterious Level 6. Colossal Battleship-san, Juan Wolf, and Mighty Drinker Busco Shot. The names seem to match the appearance of these new characters.
I'm not so sure Blackbeard became a Shichibukai to be close to attack Whitebeard. His original goal was to capture Luffy in order to earn that title. Ace just appeared first and became a Plan B. The reason to be a Shichibukai was most likely because he knew those people were in Impel Down and needed to be a Shichibukai to gain access. It was the only way to get the Gates of Justice to open for him, and raid it to increase his crew with the absolute worst of the worst.
Being there to see Whitebeard die is probably just a perk. They had been hiding before and just watching.
I was thinking about something today. Taking current events into consideration. The three major Marine/World Government bases in the Grand Line have been destroyed. Enies Lobby was destroyed by the Marines, but blamed on Luffy; Luffy infiltrated Impel Down and left it a mess after his escape, and who knows what Blackbeard did when he also escaped later with his new crew; and now Whitebeard destroyed Marineford. Surely, they must have some kind of bases in the New World, but that's still huge.
I'm doubting that he could take over the Government. There is still the Tenryuubito and the Gorousei(they oversee the Marines, Shichibukai, and Cipher Pol). Out of desperation they may inlist him, but I doubt Blackbeard gives a rat's rear about the World Government now that he has what he wanted from them.
There is a chance Bon Clay could of escaped as well when Blackbeard staged his break out.
Either way, One Piece should be out this week and it shouldn't take too long to get some kind of news
Maybe when he orignally planned to capture Luffy he knew someone would try and save him, perhaps dragon and the revolutionaries.
That theory would be dependent on Blackbeard knowing that Luffy is Dragon's son. Even Ivan, Dragon's ally, didn't know he had a son. Blackbeard went after Luffy when he saw how large his bounty was on Jaya, also because he defeated Crocodile.
