And MAJOR PROPS to Tyson for doing this show after hosting Superhero Singled Out on the main stage of Comikaze's very loud convention floor. Guy's voice was a little soft after all the hosting, so we had to "sub" him sometimes. Serious trooper! Be sure to like the show's Facebook group.!

Cool watch Sam.Man, I wish there was a YouTube link to that Japanese hip-hop anime opening. The WB isn't thaaaaat ancient. I remember watching Dawson's Creek as a high schooler and thinking this was like the most edgy show ever on television. I remember people reacting to it like it was Kids (or in a future leap, Skins UK) but now it seems so tame.

Anyways, back to the topic... thanks for picking my question. I thought you all nailed it and got deeper than I thought. As for me, my choice was similar to Sam choosing the CW to air Fruits Basket. I was going to pick the CW (jinx) and have them air Nana. My reasons where that #1 I think shojo/Josei doesn't get as much recognition as it should from US companies so a TV spot might get some anime fiends to check it out and #2 it is a CW show. Teens and twenty-somethings falling in love, experiencing the ups and downs of life, and just trying to make it in the world. If the audience could get over the fact that it's animated and grow to see it as just another medium for telling a story, I think the CW market would fall in love with it.

Maybe they could put Highschool of the Dead on between seasons of The Walking Dead. Who's with me?

    That's a terrible idea.

BECK would be perfect on an ABC or CBS's primetime block. It's practically just a teen drama that happens to be animated. No anime tropes, adult enough subject matter to be taken seriously by a wide swath of ages and demographics...put it ahead or after of whichever sci-fi show is popular right now and you're golden.

If you can get 50 year old moms to care about what's in a hatch on some island (LOST)....anything is possible.

Allison's facial expression were hilarious. I think that bringing an anime to mainstream US audiences would be hard. Considering that a lot of general themes are not considered acceptable on TV in America.

Even so, I think I would like to "force" Sket Dance. I would like to see the American reaction to this type of comedy. I mean if the US can have The Simpsons and Futurama, that has really stupid comedy, why not witty comedy from Sket Dance?

Nice Vice Pit episode guys! I agree with the CW for a mainstream style anime. For a more mature anime I think Joe TV or Fox if they played it right after Family Guy or the Simpsons.
