Now usually I get angry when a video game trailer does not feature gameplay, but I can freely admit that I am in love with this fine piece of mecha art. This right here is the preview trailer for the Playstation 3 game Another Century’s Episode: R. Basically the gameplay is like either Zone of Enders or Armored Core, or similar third person robot fighting games. But what makes ACE special is that it takes its robots from different anime. New to this game are series like Code Geass and Macross F, you can see a full list of anime appearing in this game here.
This trailer is beautiful, it even portrays the scale correctly, with Aquarion being a giant. I hate to break it to you, but this game a snowball’s chance in hell being released in the west; but the good news is that you can import it because Playstation 3 is region free!
I kind of agree. When they do CG 3D "anime style" characters in stuff like Star Ocean 3 & 4, it looks terrible. The CG in stuff like Persona 3 & 4 looks a little bit better (and the CG in Final Fantasy is gorgeous). However, most of the stuff we get in game isn't great. However, I'm not sure what the best middle ground is - as I don't necessarily like the slide-show effect of games like Cross Edge either.
God Gundam is ridiculuos strong and in ACE 3 Shin Getter Robo is a machine of mass destruction...
well ACE 3 put Rx-78 which somehow serve as somekind death sniper , Belial from the FMP novel (which is the first one to come out) can fly,
