Want to Break Into the Biz? Think VIZ

VIZ wants YOU! to apply to work for them.

While most companies are laying off-- FUNimation, TOKYOPOP, Bandai –or outright closing like Broccoli, VIZ has actually created a whole new RSS feed just for its job openings. Hopefully they'll snap up some of the great talent that have recently come available.

And if not, maybe they'll bring in some new talent. Any of you guys looking into it? They've got, among other things, an editor position, an in-house legal counsel, online marketing manager...

Unfortunately, the whole lack of experience and inability to live in/commute to the SF Bay Area kind of disqualifies me.

I really wouldn't mind being an editor for Viz... I sure hope some of those jobs are available in a year when I graduate. I'm not too big on relocating to San Fran, but we'll see.

I would love to get into that, however there is the issue of living expenses and driving in the San Fransisco area. Also, I am currently involved in a grad program which I am paying for out of my pocket. I would hate to just drop it all.

Wow I would love to try...but I am totally studying in a different field. :(

@kisameclan: I wouldn't hold your breath, the initial jobs they posted were over a year ago, and the last entry they put up was over two months ago.

It would be great to work for a respected company like Viz Media, but I am nowhere near SF and like John says, the last entry is over 2 months old.

I am currently focusing my attention into adding some (if not all) of the missing info for several shows listed on AnimeVice....love getting points for adding information to better the experience of the site. n_n
