Wait...4Kids, Subtitles?

Non-dubs from 4Kids still weirds me out.

4Kids is a name long synonymous, to its detractors, with over-Americanization of anime-- name changes and that sort of thing. (It's not synonymous to anything to his fans, since they're mostly kids, who don't pay that much attention to these things.) But basically, they're not known for being super interested in releasing subtitled video.

But ANN's been keeping tabs, and the latest news is that 4Kids has posted, of all things, a clip of the Sonic X anime-- subtitled. Now, it's not actually the first time they've done this; in March they actually showed full episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in their original Japanese.

Still, though, it's an odd shift for a company that continues to aim at, for lack of a better way to say it, the pre-otaku, not the sub fan.

I hate them with anyways. They butchered One Piece, Shaman King, and Yu-Gi-Oh they deserve to die. Also them releasing subtitle versions of the animes they bought the rights to won't last long like probably.

the only English sonic voice actors I know of are Ryan Drummond, Jaleel White, Jason Griffith, and Martin Burke (from the Sonic OVA)

Dig Deeper into Sonic X

The second anime adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog. It lasted for three seasons and ended with a Cliffhanger. There have been plans to finish the series but so far nothing has been heard.
