Viz Licenses 20th Century Boys Trilogy

But they haven't licensed the prequels with "Our Friend" Jar Jar Binks.

Good news for me! Not more than a week ago did I start reading Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys, and now I can start fantasizing about the live-action movies. Despite the third movie not yet being out, Viz Pictures announced that they will be releasing the entire set of movies in the US. Starting with the first two later this year, and following up with the finale after its 2010 release.

For those not yet indoctrinated, 20th Century Boys' is really something else. A tale spanning over several decades, a group of kids make a secret club with the idea of saving the world. We watch as they grow up, and eventually come across a cult founded on the ideals they set in private. Led by the mysterious person known as "Our Friend," the now adults must looking into the past to find answers in the present.

Well, that's all I know as of Volume one. Don't ruin it for me!

(blah blah press release blah blah)

@Gintamen: IIRC the second movie is out in Japan in theaters, but I'm not sure if it's on DVD yet there.
