Gia, Candice Uyloan, and Mark Chang

We had a lot more to do at VIZ than just take a tour or steal Doraemon-- I got the chance to ask Senior Products Manager Candice and Director of Marketing Mark a few questions about VIZ manga products. I was particularly interested in hearing about 20 Century Boys, Naoki Urasawa's seminal sci-fi mystery manga, which will start being released after his murder thriller Monster's last volume comes out (December 2008).

I also got to ask about a bunch of new titles, like Oishinbo, and some newly-repackaged favorites. VIZ has combined the first volume of Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball Z into a single product called the Triple Starter Pack, and I wanted to know if they were thinking about doing any other combo items like that. You'll have to watch the video to find out their answer!
